A few time we also managed to cut off the oppo's 45 degree from the back line, where they centre it to the CHB line. it may have been a skill error by Port and they showed too much of the ball and we got the spoil in, but in previous games we gave that up and gave them the corridor.

JSOS according to champion data was ranked 2nd on the ground next to Houston. That’s two out of the last 3 since being reinstated into the 23 where he’s been the best Carlton player on the ground. Hopefully the coaches give him the 10 as it’s what he deserves.

Can’t remember the last time I’ve calmly watched my team take apart the opposition for four weeks in a row.

Still have moments of anxiety due to the PTSD from 25 years of ‘Carlton type’ performances/lapses, but I am beginning to enjoy watching us play. I even have a little faith that we can meet the challenges when the opposition lift, which is most unusua1.

Shout out to Fog. I was somewhat surprised by his selection as I didn’t see what role he would play. But must eat my words as he has played his role brilliantly. Is a foot soldier who is hard as nails and gives 100%. Links up well. Really adds to our team ethos.

All going to plan and we should beat West Coast. Hopefully Harry is ok (praying for bone bruising). Saad maybe needs to rest that ankle.

Not sure who comes in for H, but I’d love Cowan in for Saad.

Well I was a harsh critic and am on the boards win or lose.

I’m not taking a backward step either, we were nothing short of pathetic in that period. Our footy IQ was moron status, there was no pride in the jumper and players were going through the motions. It was absolutely deplorable.

The break was the circuit breaker and I think the boys decided to put the P back in pride and just all give 110%, line in the sand moment. AND IT NOW SHOWS!

I was still peeved as of last week but said that this week was the week to show us if they were genuine or still a bunch of marshmallows when something tangible was on the line.

Well they proved to be genuine last night and colour me blue and parade me naked down Lygon street I’m absolutely chuffed.

It was sickening being the butt of all supporters jokes now none of those ****ing arseholes want to face us in the finals …. we are playing the kind of football that scares the shit out of other teams.

Before yesterday's results (and I had us beating Port), I had us missing the 8 by 2 points, presuming losses against the Pies and the Dees.

After the Saints capitulation vs GC, my predictions has us in by 2 points,. displacing STK, and still losing to Pies and Dees (but winning all the others).

After yesterday's effort there's no reason whatsoever that we can't beat the Pies & Dees.

Bloody love Kemp too - incredibly solid in defence.

Agree with McGovern (imposing at times) but he’s still usually the one that misses contests/spoils or has disappointing moments as a defender.

He’s been working on the handballing vs kick option but FMD, how does one find OOBOTF so often…?

Brisbane really screwed our chances of finishing 4th with that choke

Personally I wouldn't be writing the Collingwood game off as a loss. Probably one of the better times to be playing them, with finals on the horizon and very little to prove currently. They are outstanding but if we come out breathing fire with 'season on the line' stuff we might end up getting them.

Conversely, the GWS game in the final round is another game where circumstances might make it a tougher prospect than it might appear on paper. They are starting to come good and are edging towards finals themselves, if a final round win gets them in to September then that may well prove harder to win than Collingwood.

Interesting times, very thankful that life has been breathed back into our season. Full credit to players and coaches for turning around what appeared a hopeless situation.

Best brand of footy I’ve seen us play against a top side in a long time, the previous three weeks were all great results which until tonight i think still carried a few little doubts with who we have actually played and how it would would stack up against a top end side…

Our pressure from the start tonight was off the charts, there’s a great connection and unity starting to build across all lines, we’re continuing to sacrifice and play for one another better…

Great balance of unconditional hard contested attacking football…
