My issue with trading Bruhn is that I'm judging him on playing against a rampaging magpies team.

In saying that he certainly went missing for longggg periods of the game
Bruhn is a class player ....has he the engine / experience to play 100% midfield in 2023

They pushed him to a WING for a reason .....he seems to me an almost good player ....but then I also raved about him at GWS, in the limited mid minutes he played

Bookmark Bruhn for 2024 SC side

I have to trade Laird, His value is going to drop too much right?

No, if drops an absolute stinker and is projected to drop over 80k then yeah. But that is next week problem. He probably score 150+ against the tigers tbh.

NO ! .....you were never thinking of trading him, when you picked him (keeper).....so his dropping value hasn't changed that

If Laird spuds again this week he's absolutely on the chopping block. Can't have him dropping $120k then being in 60% of teams. Can always roughy him back if needed.

Thinking now about doing:

Stewart > Daicos
Chesser > Sheezel via Flanders (Callaghan also an option)

Chesser didn't really look like doing much and that was against the worst team they'll face, and this gets Hollands off the field for me at m8.

If Jones doesn't play I'll boost him to McKenna, but if he does he can stay another week because he surely scores well playing on Zaine Cordy and Caminiti.

Will Day might end up a terrible pick but he's spared for now, at least had a lot of touches and tackles just used it very poorly with that 98 - 60 DT/SC. Flanders can wait a week too, see how he goes in a game they shouldn't be smashed in, and Hopper also survives as I've got far more pressing issues to deal with.

Captain Laird I'm obviously not trading now but another shocker and a sideways to Clarry has to be worth considering.

Yeah it helps, but I just don’t think the role is there for Ash. Played more of a defensive than attacking role on the weekend.
I've got too many other issues, will have to hold and hope he improves.

Stewart has to go (probably to Little Nicky)
Bruhn looks terrible

Then there is maybe Hopper, maybe Laird, maybe Flanders. Haven't even got to rookie corrections yet. Chesser to Chandler likely next week.

Stewart > McKenna

Also have Jelly, not sure if I burn a trade there or not. Could go upto anyone.

First trade nets me 446k, and could move on Chesser if I wanted to as he looks a really slow burn but should have decent JS.

A trade I have played around with is

Stewart > McKenna
Kelly > Touk
Chesser > Gulden

Unsure if it's worth burning a boost this early, but could be something I consider.

On Fyfe I don't have him and if I did would still really consider trade him out, but it's worth factoring in that Callum Wilkie would be one of the absolute the best in the league at matching up on those tall star mids (like Danger, Cripps, and now Fyfe) when they go forward, most teams won't have an ideal matchup like that.

I'm biased in saying Pedlar .....but my rationale is young rookies fade quickly with AFL after a few games .....Pedlar is into his 3rd PS and when all other Crows couldn't run on the weekend, he was still running strong

IMO, the mature Rookie over the 1st year player .....I also chose Bytel over Phillipou for the same reasoning
Bytel will probably get dropped for Seb Ross/Windhager

Depends if you consider him a keeper.

Sounds like he just had a dirty day yesterday.

First year player here. Had a decent score of 2130 to start the season.
I’m in a pretty good spot as I seem to have avoided the main carnage (other than Jelly), and didn’t miss many of the must-have picks.
Just wanted to ask what is so taboo about using a boost this early? Yes I understand that player prices don’t move for first 3 weeks and it may be better to use these trades for cash-gen, but if the trade makes your team a lot better could it not be argued that it’s just an aggressive move?

It's far easier to post your team .
It's easier for people to help out ..they see the full story

I think boost is okay if your team is absolutely cooked. Like I am considering to use one next week for rookie correction. I got a Stewart and Fyfe Headache this week.

Give Fyfe another week.
Avg something like 150 vs North .

I meant Bruhn* But yeah Fyfe with his easy draw definitely a hold and see. If he can just have 2-3 juice games.

Freo need to give him some mid time.
Even at least some CBA .

Wait and see .

Nothing wrong with using the boost mate that's what they are there for.
