OK then, with the 7th Pick of the draft the Western Bulldogs bid on Will McCabe the Father/Son from the Hawks.

SydneyPhilly do you match the bid?

This will be an interesting one if it’s bid this early can see the Hawks passing

Weird phantom draft but hey, gonna go best available here

Pick 10 - GWS - Zane Duursma

Something, something gift horse...

Comparison: Fyfe, Stevie J

Anyway, on draft night, I fully expect that Duursma will go top 5 in the draft.

33 goals from 12 games for Gippsland and averaging 1.8 goals a game for Vic Country show his scoring prowess forward of centre. I believe he would nicely complement GWS' current crop of forward and will play early, being an upgrade on the giants medium forward stocks.

However, the most tantalising prospect for Duursma is being a mid/fwd threat ala Stevie J of old. All in all, GWS would be very happy to nab him this late in the draft

PMBangers surely you would have to be happy with this result on draft night

Andrew Mackie here. There are two issues for us. We do not like Footscray stomping around our Western District. Given the lack of mature talent in the draft we will at least go for someone who will go bald at an early age.

Pick 10 Geelong - Jordan Croft. (Care to match robbieando )

Actually a really good fit for the Cats, Dodoisms aside.

We match the bid, and take Jordan Croft at Pick 11.

Well, a bit like pick 10 for GWS, this is a no brainer - just go for best available who is most certainly Nick 'The Wizard' Watson. Did not expect to get him this far back (nor did I expect my pick to blow out this far).

Apart from the Davey brothers and our recent acquisition of Gresh, we're not blessed with enough small & medium forward depth so getting this excitement machine in the door is perfect. Our fans are going to love him and what he brings - can't wait for him to meet all the boys. He's got every trick in the bag and we're delighted to get him... etc. etc.

Dan87 you're up - watcha gonna do?

Typical Essendon drafting small forwards

Crows will be keen to add some run and finish and take Caleb Windsor at pick 14.

Caleb is a seriously dynamic winger and looks to take the game on with electric speed and damaging kicking. You get a real sense that something is going to happen when he's involved and opening passages of play are everywhere in his highlights. Showed his strong athletic qualities with a dominant combine running a 2.916 s 20 m and top 10/15 in running and vertical jump. Has gone from strength to strength this year and along with his upside wll have the Crows excited about adding him to their mix.

This draft has not gone at all as we had foreseen. However we have had access to very high quality players.
At Pick 15 Melbourne chooses Darcy Wilson, fast, evasive, kicks goals and can still accumulate. He and Ryley will form the basis of our midfield for years to come.
Over to you Sydney The King!

In laws birthday bbq today so was on my phone all day so I wouldn't miss my pick 😂. 10 hours later Sydney are finally up .

Was getting excited we may pinch Zane Duursma for a while there.

Anyway unfortunately for Sydney I don't really follow the prospect that's much , but oh well.

My first priority is to make the bulldogs pay for 2016 so I am taking Jordan Croft, a tall skinny forward , and If they don't match him
we will happily take him and convince him to love NSW. I think he can develop into a player we kick over the head of, and if Mcdonald leaves and Amartey fails to keep fit we have options.

So robbieando are you and the dogs matching?

I have already matched an earlier bid from Carlton, shouldn't drink and post ;)
