Did not want to watch any video’s of the draftees this year because all you do is form an opinion based on minimal knowledge. But it’s too late now, I’m sold, I only see one logical outcome.

I just had the same thought. We need marking power, smarts and skill. 2 utilities that could be game changers on any line.

Curtin, Duursma, Thomas, Sheezel. 4 out of 22 you can play anywhere.

Curtin is not the best player in the draft, Reid is. It’s not even debatable. If Curtin was the best player in the draft there would been zero discussion about about trading pick 1, or that North should’ve tanked against GC.

Curtin might end up being the best player of the draft, or some kid taken in the second round that no one’s talking about, but at the moment Reid is so far ahead of his draft class that nobody doubts he’s pick 1.

Interesting that in the lead up to us putting an offer to WC all the media was that we would otherwise take Curtin. Now the media is saying we’re into Duursma. I wonder if we’re fishing for a juicy offer to split #3, e.g. from Hawks or Dees?

No s*t? Been saying it for months. Actually been saying it my entire life, s*t kicks make s*t footballers.. Clarksons hawks were all **** great kicks of a footy, all his disciples hit targets. Mckercher is not getting a gournsey

His kicking skill is a dash overrated. He is capable of hitting really nice long kicks and his short kicking is neat, but he is prone to mis-kicking them.

In saying that, his kicking isn’t the main reason why you are drafting him. It’s his explosiveness, speed, ability to accumulate the footy, ability to break tackles and ability to open up the game up.

On a side note outside of Sanders who is a beautiful kick and decision maker I think the kicking skill of all of the top midfielders is a bit overrated this year. McKercher, Duursma, & Watson are all prone to over kicking the footy.

Nothing personal. Just hate the obsession that some have over Yank sports and how we can "learn something" from them.

Of course you can learn something from other sports, regardless of what they are. That is why so many coaches spend time at NFL, NBA and EPL sides to understand method and tactics that can be transferred.
