I really want to know what is this infatuation with getting Reid?
Is it because you believe he is a once in a generation talent?
You are that convinced he’s the best player in this draft by some margin that it is worth giving up 2 1st rounders to move up one spot?

For me personally, it’s because he’s a difference maker, up forward or in the square. We have all the midfield pieces, adding a young lad that could turn and win games as a cherry on top of an already promising midfield is what drew me into wanting to push for pick 1.

In saying that, Thomas can absolutely be that difference maker if he can pull his head in and push to be the best footballer he can be.

I wouldn’t want their F1 if it costs both 2 and 3. There‘s no guarantee they are bottom 2 next year. They should be, but they also have a massive home ground advantage every second week. Things will turn for them at a some stage.

I wouldn't be having discussions at all, we should be going to the draft with what we have. It's not often a team has 5 first round picks in the top 18. If they stuff it up they deserve all the shit they'll cop

If the offer we‘ve put to WC is true, then it seems the club’s answer to point 3 is yes.

The info has clearly come from WC so bear in mind that it is in their interests to make the offer sound as high as possible in order to draw out other, higher bids.

I’d take the detail with a grain of salt.

Of which 3 are 15 and below.... which will have an element of risk attached to them.... moving those up will in essence try and mitigate or even eliminate that risk

I think this could well be a live trade option once Reid is out of the picture. If we went Caddy or Curtin at 2. You'd think Dees go Duursma at 3. Hawks and Dogs go McKercher or Watson. Sanders or one of Caddy/Curtin still on the board. We also get Leake/Windsor/Wilson which gives us a gun utility or outside run and kicking we don't have much of. Not saying I'd do it, as it's somewhat of a gamble, but it's certainly food for thought.

And it's not just people on here that have the infatuation.... north clearly do aswell and their views will be based off hours of watching across years.... I'm guessing you have watched a couple of YouTube videos so aren't getting the same feeling

Yep I could see some live trades happening on draft night. Could be we slide back to pick 23 from WCE and get their F2 for 18. They get Collard and we a key position or ruck Reid/Morris/Goad/Edwards/Dawson and a future pick.
