Cutting to the point, what you are asking is, assuming Hawks want him and we would match, what would we ask for?
If that happens, I’d expect we would ask for your first, you wouldn’t value him that and that’s fair
In a trade situation he wouldn’t merit a top 5 pick (cue back and forth PSD etc)
Compo means our preference is to get pick after ours for him as we would not want end of first, in a normal situation a mid- late first rounder pick would probably suffice
But that is the situation at the moment, structurally he is worth more to us than what you would be comfortable trading for

When compared to a quality tall defender that beats his opponent. = GWS Taylor…a defender that rebounds well… May, and many others…

Sicily is an undersized no-one who somehow wins against bigger men.

McKay probably has kept our scores competitive in a lot of games.

So you should be wanting to keep him!
You should be saying! “Hands off Ben McKay, He Saves us”.

Drop the advertising… and be real… what player is a fair trade for your Ben?

I’d argue the intercept marking has the largest impact a defender can make.
It genuinely turns defence to offence.

He’d be dominate in a swans type set up, where he can mark it and hand off to runners straight away.
If they can simplify the game for him and not try and turn him into a something he’s not.

He’ll never be a May type directing traffic and I doubt you’ll find him ever turning into an offence weapon but as a stopper, he’s elite.

And agreed he’s worth more to us then trade value.
