He is waying up his options as we speak. Waiting for Hardwick to come to Australia and meet him in person. Has had a few interviews with VIC clubs. We are keen and in with a shot as Sam thought the interview went well. 3 months ago he was gone but since then he has had opportunities to play in his correct position (which is all he wanted) and Dew is now gone. He’s waying up between staying at GC, North and another club. 50/50 as of last week. It’s a big and potentially life changing decision for him to make.

It’s time we finally get a bfnaak go our way and join us

Have been told the Hawks interview didn’t go that well and he’s not keen on them. There is another club involved.

I was informed the Essendon interview was a bust - not the Hawks.

He turned Hawthorn down last season - any idea why this year if that's the case?

I don't know who the KPF options are.

It’s a conundrum.

Riccardi is the best of the OOC offerings, but the consensus around here seems to be that we don’t stand a chance.

Archer Reid would be an obvious option with the port pick, if Flanders falls through.

Even Wade Derksen would be an upgrade on plonking X in the f50 and hoping for the best.

I'll stick my neck out with the unpopular opinion here;

I think both Corr and Stevenson can be best 22 in a good NMFC team next year.

For my money, the 5 players from today we most badly need to upgrade are;

• Curtis Taylor
• Tristan Xerri
• Jack Ziebell
• Luke McDonald
• Charlie Lazzaro

I think there's some merit to this post.

Of the five you listed, Taylor is still somebody with potential. I had hopes for Lazzaro, and it's rough that he's only had a few glimpses by coming on as sub but if he's not contracted then North would be fools to extend him, especially as the list numbers have to be cut. Having said that, they extended Xerri. Not sure that's going to be reflected well upon in the next couple of years unless we can trade him to GCS.

He’s the right age bracket, should have 100+ games left in his career and has speed we need off half back.
