He's been around for a while, was on the Tigers VFL list for a while so they would have got a good look at him, so i wonder what his perceived flaws were.

Richmond had a heap of similar small forwards at the time. He's playing his best footy this year as well. Some just come on a bit slower.

He's been overlooked for years, anyone could have taken him any time in around a dozen free agent signing periods.

Don't know. Could ask him to not go in the national draft and just enter the preseason draft. There are ways to get around it.

I think he's 3rd in the VFL in total fantasy scores, 7th in the VFL for total score, 10th for total disposals, 6th in tackles.

I saw his age and thought jeez we might as well just bring Gallagher back if we’re going to go for mature players again but wow that Mannagh has some serious wheels. I’d never say no to that at HF.

In order to find that one, or three very good mids we need, you can see that one strategy to achieve this is that the Saints might bring in a pool of players who have not made it, in the hope than one or more can step up a level.

Eg Dow, Holland's Mannagh

Then to draft some kids as well. Though this may be more next year than this, unless we can somehow trade up.

And lastly to keep trying to develop Owens and the Poo into at least burst mids, and maybe more. Plus Windy. The Poos body might need more than one more preseason though.
