He is a young man with more money and time than he knows what to do with.

Gee citing a home tattoo as a reason for overlooking him, probably done after a club function or maybe after the premiership they won.

All the issues you cite look to be caused by poor leadership or direction at the club. This is Melbourne we are talking about, if I played for Melbourne... I would be wanting out.

The question we should be asking can he play football? Will he improve our midfield?

He's a cracking midfielder, top 5 in the competition.

In all honesty if he's partaking a little too heavily in the nasal refreshments at the least and going off the rails a bit with other substances at owrst, this is where you need a strong leadership and coaching group to step up, and also put the word out less officially to anyone not to give him any nose candy. As in, you will get some Big Bob Bikie looking *er to kick the head in of anyone trying to sell him gear. Every club has got some blokes with connections.

Not uncommon for injured players with buckets of cash to get a bit sniff happy have heard a few stories, but it's fixable you'd think.

Again, this is actually a scenario I’ve heard some info on, way back when he was injured, and it set off red flags then. Many players get on the gear, but the manner in which Clarry was doing so sounded more full on (addiction behaviour) than just a night out.

He’s arguably the best midfielder in the competition, in his prime, having won a premiership with his club he’s signed up til 2030 with. If Melbourne want to trade him in light of all that, and sell high, it lines up with what I’ve heard.

For the right price he’s worth it, but Melbourne will want more. Think we should stay focused on the draft.

Don’t see anyway we get Oliver but we’d be ******* insane not to explore it.

Getting the midfield mix right is a huge key, sure you don’t really want Steele, Crouch and Oliver in the centre every bounce but you have that three as a core trio with Mitch, Jones, Pou, Windy and co rolling through and the different looks start to look very very appealing.
