I can understand it as he’s a bit of a magician

I wonder if he wasn’t vic metro and Sandringham whether he’d be as appreciated though

He’s a high risk selection in the top 10 IMO but also could be high reward

Highly skilled all round with great footy I.Q. but my question would be his ability to win his own ball in a contest at the AFL level and given he's pretty pedestrian pace wise to the eye could be a factor too?

He does have some Jake Stringer like qualities but at the moment he’d be one midfield effort then lean on a goal post

Needs to work hard all pre season start well forward then see where he gets to , could definitely throw his weight around up the field in time

Yeah I get that, he is nowhere near fitness but at SANFL ,a CBA here and there wouldn’t hurt

Yeah definitely

I sort of thought of Pendlebury but he doesn’t have his reach or height

I do think people are underrating Jagga, he may be a victim of his own weight of possessions with the 'not damaging' label. No he doesn't run blindly through the stoppage and boot the ball as far as he can - he gets the ball, considers his best option for how to find a teammate and then finds them. His disposal efficiency was over 80% at the champs, that is wild for a guy who gets a ton of the ball and a lot of it in very tight spaces. Has Pendlebury like qualities with his composure in heavy traffic.

Got 50 touches in a Coates league game. His first game against men against a very good VFL team he got 31 touches inc. 18 contested. He's been durable, never plays a bad game and will play rd 1 next year. If he falls to us, we should not 2nd guess, thank our lucky stars and draft him.

Yes, there's another List Lodgement - but Oct 31st was the deadline for delisting players. They need to be delisted in time to nominate for the ND (should they choose to do so), and the second List Lodgement isn't until after the ND.

Talent League stats (avg): 25.9 disposals, 4.7 clearances, 1.3 goals
The Age’s August top 30: 11 October top 30: 5
Agility test: 8.642 secs 20m sprint: 3.24 secs 2km time trial: 6:24 mins
Langford is one of the biggest risers from the start of the season, and shared the Larke Medal with Leo Lombard as the two most outstanding players at this year’s under-18 championships. That honour was the highlight of a consistently dominant year for a player who put the Stingrays on his back at times. Langford is tall for an onballer and that gives him an edge when he pushes forward, where his marking strength is another tick. His toughness and relentless running help him win a stack of the Sherrin, and talent scouts are mostly willing to overlook his lack of leg speed and the odd bad kicking decision.

The Crows could opt for local boy Sid Draper.

Midfielder, 182cm, 5/7/2006
SANFL seniors stats (avg): 22.2 disposals, 4.7 clearances, 6.2 tackles
The Age’s August top 30: 6 October top 30: 10
Agility test: N/A 20m sprint: N/A 2km time trial: N/A
Draper could go as early as the second pick, in a sign of how even this draft is. His point of difference with his power and speed off the mark reminds recruiters of Patrick Dangerfield and Jason Horne-Francis, and he puts it to great use at stoppages. That quality is why Draper’s fans believe he has more “hurt factor” than some of his midfield peers in this draft class, whereas others query his decision-making and kicking in general. Another knock is Draper not being much of a goalkicker. However, the dual under-18 All-Australian is super competitive and finished the season well in the SANFL seniors after a shin stress injury delayed his season start.

It is getting stranger by the hour. GWS & Hawthorn both made announcements yesterday.

I'm assuming they wanted to give the Welsh F/S announcement some clear air, and postponed the delisting announcement by 24 hours (despite the paperwork having been lodged yesterday).

The paperwork had to be lodged yesterday, but the club hasn't bothered to inform us via media release yet.

As things currently stand, we are not compliant with the AFL's mandatory minimum ND selection requirements.

Is the difference between Langford and Draper similar to Danger and Ebert?

Its going to have to be that big for us to overlook a quality SA mid for a Vic kid.
