Does anybody know if the national champs games will be available on Kayo please ?
Looking at the Foxtel program guide for the 26th May no mention on there at the 10.05AM ACST Thebarton Oval fixture SA vs Allies game so likely not.

Streamed on the AFL app and website would look the most likely going on that.

I watched the second half of the Bendigo Pioneers vs Northern Knights on Sunday. It was the first time I've been able to watch a Coates Talent League game this season. The Pioneers well and truly got run over in a game that could have gone either way halfway through.

Tobie Travaglia. He stood out when I watched Bendigo play last season. But the way he played on the weekend has proven to me that he is one of the best in the class. Travaglia had as good a game as a halfback could on the weekend. He kicked 2 goals, and he racked up a ton of the ball (31 disposals). His run and carry from halfback are as good as I have seen. He tried his best where others faltered (namely, Archer-Day Wicks). He didn't necessarily show it on the weekend, but his defensive abilities might be just as good. He can certainly lockdown an opponent. If he plays like he did on the weekend at the National Championships, I don't think it would be a stretch for a team in the top 10 to pick him. He should become a very important player in the AFL, wherever he goes.

Archer-Day Wicks was a non-factor on Sunday. Really disappointing compared to the player I saw last season. I was hoping to see Jobe Shahanan dominate, considering how much his name has been mentioned recently, but I hardly saw him. It seems he faded out big time from the first half, where he kicked 3 goals. He clearly has the traits of a top talent based on what he has exemplified thus far, but he needs a lot more compelling, consistent performances like the round prior for me to consider him among the best.

North Launceston has done very well with four players represented.

I don't think we'll see a full campaign from Geordie Payne. He'll be an AFL play by May 30 provided no scandal emerges and his body remains healthy.

Whats the notes on him from others? I have my own opinions but I also played a lot of sport with him so unsure.

I will also add that Lenny Douglas (another I played against) will likely be an option. Playing as a fwd who can push up the ground with footy iq, skill and pace.

He’s a talented player to a degree. He suits the Devils’ focus on pressure. In early games, he was the one standing up when others weren’t. He was unlucky not to be drafted last year.

But he needs to work on accuracy and efficiency because it’s holding him back. Not much point having 30 touches if you’re also giving it to the opposition 40% of the time.

I’d almost say he’s a certainty to be picked up now.

His development has come on really well and he’s had some big games. Efficiency still lower but it seems to be a Tasmania-wide issue. Most of their top prospects aren’t great kicks this year. It happens. He’ll gain interest for sure.

Depaoli-Kubank an option, Ollie Dean, not so much.

Max Roney might be a rookie but not playing Allies hurts his chances given almost all Tasmanian draft prospects have played Allies in recent years.

Yep, when I played with him he was always willing to take it on but his ineffectiveness did shine through, albeit he would win a lot of the ball and kicks goals so it wasn’t as noticeable. Footy iq is good, and inside game is good, athletically aswell.

He use to always try play like Fyfe which is probably the best comparison with his inefficient disposal and accuracy but his dominance and ability on the inside. Loves to fly around the ground for marks.

Good to get another opinion. Will be good to see how he develops.

He use to always dominate when I played before I moved, was always just super mercurial. Better around goals as it’s a “bread and butter” type. His foot skills in play are fine it’s just he always takes the hardest options even if it isn’t the best.

But Depaoli was always pretty good and the rest I’ve heard about.

As is small forward/midfielder Rhys Unwin despite his ankle injury, defender/midfielder Jack Ough and small defender/mid Ollie Hannaford, seems Shifter doesn't watch too many GWV Rebels games especially to miss Rhys Unwin.

Could he feature for the Pies this year?

Or is it due to Oakleigh connection and he’s tagging along given the Chargers have the week off?

Yeah, not sure really. generally we have NGA aligned kids train with us. Unless its preseason and we have a couple afl academy kids.
This one seemed out of the blue. Not sure the reasoning for it.

Plays for Murray bushrangers not oakleigh , but they have the week off. So prob has a connection that he asked to train.

Dougie Kerr also badly injured last weekend.
Just got an update.
Same thing as Hotton.

He confirmed that he did his ACL :( Poor kid. Was never gonna be a top prospect so he was fighting to get drafted, and so its not ideal for him.
But he seems optimistic, will rehab it and come back better next year.
