I'm not sure why our F1 is considered off limits. It's just a matter of price, surely. Would anyone do any of these trades for our F1?

  • North Melbourne pick 2
  • Carlton pick 3 (assuming #lolNorf ****s it up)
  • Melbourne picks 5 and 9
  • St Kilda picks 7 and 8
  • West Coast pick 12 + F1
  • GWS pick 15, 16 + F1

I doubt anyone would be silly enough to make these offers, but if they did then we'd have to take a close look.

If we traded out our F1 we would then trade back into 2025 draft by auctioning off our later picks to clubs like Essendon, North Melbourne, St Kilda, Melbourne etc. We then get a great run with injury, win 6 games and finish above teams we traded with. Still bring home 3x top 10 picks in next year's draft.

Melb picks 5 & 9 I'd possibly do, then trade pick 11 for North's F1, basically a 1 pick downgrade next year for picks 5 & 9 this year, lol. Can't see Dees doing that deal as they have traded into this draft.

In all likelihood we wouldn't get fair value given the quality of player at pick 1 next year.

Given his late mail change was 'Tigers keen on Allan at 6, so he's going to slide one pick further', I would suggest he has NFI
Or he has late info that st kilda and Melbourne won't take Allan

Cals LATE MAIL PHANTOM DRAFT
1) Richmond – Sam Lalor
2) North Melbourne – Finn O'Sullivan
3) Carlton – Jagga Smith
4) Adelaide – Sid Draper
5) Brisbane – Levi Ashcroft (matching Melbourne's bid)
6) Melbourne – Harvey Langford
7) Richmond – Josh Smillie
8) St Kilda – Tobie Travaglia
9) Gold Coast – Leo Lombard (matching St Kilda's bid)
10) Essendon – Isaac Kako (matching St Kilda's bid)
11) St Kilda – Alix Tauru
12) Melbourne – Xavier Lindsay
13) Richmond – Bo Allan
14) Richmond – Jobe Shanahan
15) West Coast – Murphy Reid
16) Port Adelaide – Harry Armstrong
17) Fremantle – Joe Berry
18) Greater Western Sydney – Jack Whitlock
19) Greater Western Sydney – Taj Hotton
20) Western Bulldogs – Cooper Hynes
21) Richmond – Jesse Dattoli
22) Brisbane – Sam Marshall (matching Sydney's bid)
23) Sydney – Jonty Faull
24) Richmond – Matt Whitlock
25) Greater Western Sydney – Harry Oliver
27) Richmond – Jasper Alger
28) Richmond – Luke Trainor
29) Western Bulldogs – Christian Moraes
30) West Coast – Ned Bowman

For me this would be an amazing result with the great spread in differing types. I would take Hannaford ahead of Alger would be the only change. To get Smillie and Traior who were touted 1 & 2 end of July is an excellent result.

I am going to do something different assuming all players are available as projected

1. Lalor

6. Allan. - I am jumping on the bandwagon

I don't know with Smillie who I consider more risky than Allan.

for this reason Saints will not pickn Smillie, probably pick Lindsay and try and trade pick 8 out for RFC to pick up as we are more likely and capable to take a punt on Smillie.

then it gets a little average, but in a good way. I hope we pick up Hynes, Clarke, Hannnaford, Dobson and even T Gross or M Whitlock or T Simms. actually dropping Whitlock and Gross

actually can Lindsay fit in there?? prob not
