I’d like be to know what his 20 metre sprint was, didn’t question his endurance

Thanks to Sphynx, details below

George Stevens 20m - 3.098. Pretty good while weighing 100kg.

Never been a huge fan of his but could Caleb Daniel be useful for us. Runs hard and is a neat 30m kick

Think we've got younger, more athletic options who offer similar skillsets and defend better. Kiddy injury stinks but him and motty are locks for the next decade and hopefully we have mckenna for a good period of time as well.

Yep. With all the talk of a mid season trade period, ironically he’d be pretty handy for us this season given the Kiddy injury, but as you say once he’s back he’s probably struggling for a game here too.

Probably going to be an unpopular opinion…. No way Brisbane should pay 1.3 for Mccluggage. Seldom plays a 4 quarter game. Use that cash to fill a positional need I.e a ruck that doesn’t blind handball at every opportunity. Also bank draft capital. Hit up free agency.

I don't think the price for us would be 1.3 mill. Reckon closer to 1.1 with a super long term deal.

The salary cap is going up substantially, 1.3 Million would probably to equivalent to 900K in the old cap.

IMO if we offered him 5 years at 1 Million per season he would take it.

Salary cap aside, even with an increase, he’s an above average player. I wouldn’t be offering more than 900k… absolute Max. Particularly with Ashy mk2 and Marshall coming in, and ashy back off his knee

He'll be given 1m a year/6 years. Worth it. Great leader, player and human being.
I tend to agree.

One thing that some club's don't factor into these LT deals is resilience.

He plays every week . Like Neale he's always out there unless it's impossible.

So even if players like that have an average day they're still a whole lot better that whoever else you would put in.

Hugh is worth it. He is a beautiful person and player and we should be so lucky to see him play for us for the rest of his career.

Its not a risky deal either given how good a human being he is. Not like we're giving bulk coin to someone like Oliver.

The best ability is availability - long understood in American football and clubs pay accordingly.

Would probably prefer Bailey Dale out of the Kennel.

Rayner is a high impact per possession player, his 20-25 disposal games would be a lot more damaging than a lot of midfielders 30+ possession games.
Only if his dump kicks forward pay off. I have mentioned this in the review thread, but astute observers may have noticed he was playing the Mitch Robinson role last night. I loved that. We have missed Mitch’s intensity at the ground ball contest and his unpredictable hazard ball inside fifty. If Fagan has worked that out and it is a deliberate coaching development, then hats off to him. The next step … consistency.
