I cannot believe what I just read.. You want to take out our best midfielder in order to possibly touch the ball 15 times a game and maybe kick a goal or two?Is there much interest in trialling Serong forward?
I know he's a real clearance specialist and it's the old Rob Peter To Pay Paul. But a ball winner in the forward line could be huge for us. Has great spacial awareness and reads the ball very well off hands. Genuine Small forward potential, not just mid resting forward (like a Fyfe/Young type who are good 1 on 1 but not really crumbling players to work around our big 3).
Never seen it personally but have heard he was highly rated as a forward in his draft year ... Perhaps we need to trial some things like this ASAP so we better know what to target next year.
Ie. Warner could become a very very strong option, if Serong is an elite forward and we can create room for him through the mids.
We don't want a ball winner in the forward line, we need better decision making and execution.
