Dont think the Vikings make the trade they did unless they have a green light and its pretty much a sure thing.
Depends on who they are after. and who Washington and the Giants are looking at.

Lots of misdirection this time of year.

I think the Giants wanting a QB is bullshit regardless of its a need. Too much noise. Teams go about things quietly like the Vikings have if they want to move up.

Pressure to sack rate from 2022 & 2023:
Michael Penix Jr (5.7%)
Bo Nix (6.4%)
JJ McCarthy (14.1%)
Drake Maye (18.0%)
Caleb Williams (18.6%)
Jayden Daniels (26.4%)

Running QBs are known for being sacked more, but 18.6% for Caleb is high as his playstyle compared to Mahomes often who doesn't really take a lot of sacks he doesn't need to. He's at 11% at NFL level which is elite - and is very close to his college rate. Tom Brady was at 15%, for comparisons sake. Caleb is over 18% just at college level.

Maye and JJ are also both high, but they aren't compared to the best player in the NFL.

If you want to be spicy and have Nabers over Harrison I dont hate it totally , but they should both be tier one. Thomas over Odunze I can also see if you want to be spicy but there is no way in hell they are two tiers apart let alone one. Odunze in the same tier as Wilson is very disrespectful.

So he takes a lot of sacks, but also throws a load of screens.

Makes the high sack number even worse.

Teams, GM's and talking heads love to over complicate things.
They certainly do get too cute, thinking theyre the smartest football minds in the world. See Shanahan/Lynch with Lance. See Gruden/Mayock with their early draft picks.

The talk around town is suggesting the Pats would take Maye at #3 if hes there, Vikings eyeing JJ, bringing him in for a private workout.
Who says xmas only comes once a year

I love Thomas but #2 in a tier over Harrison is absolutely ridiculous. :tearsofjoy: ..Simms has sucked at assessing WRs in the past and that hasn't changed.
Like that year where everyone had Jeudy and Ruggs top 2 whilst he had Lamb and Jefferson 1/2 with Jeudy number 6

I cant remember anyone who had Ruggs top 2. Was Lamb and Jeudy from what I recall.

The only bad receiver rankings he’s had in recent years was 2022. Almost as good as his QB record.

Would love to see anyone else who had Metcalf ranked in the top 2 in 2019
To be fair....Simms gets some things right, but he also gets things wrong and he's also prone to get too cute trying to be the smartest in the room. He's just like anyone reslly. It's not like he's superhuman nor is he subhuman. He's just average.
