Is this happening (or going to happen) in Australia? Seems there's been similar moves in rugby union, which I assume applies world-wide. However much people moan (and there's been lots of gnashing of teeth on UK SM), seems to me it's coming whether we like it or not.

The RFL agrees to lower tackle height for all levels from 2025

Tackling above the armpit will be outlawed at all levels of rugby league in England from 2025 to reduce the risk of head contact.
