2024 Rolling ALL-Australian Team

I would've said Yeo before his injury but if he can come back shortly ad replicate similar form than it's obviously a no brainer.
Regardless I think you’re overrating Kelly. I kinda think he has been quite underwhelming. 4 games under 20 touches and so many games he’s been a massive turn over merchant. Gov going at AA level form and Barrass after a rocky start has been huge.

I’ve recently been critical of Duggan but I’d say he’s had a bigger impact for us than Kelly.

Indeed.

No doubt we'd all have Ben Miller and Harry Edwards ahead of McKay and Moore.
Obviously there’s some outliers, and Edwards has one game so ditch him.

Point remains there are a fair few genuinely good key defenders rated above McKay.

Andrews, Collins, McGovern, Taylor, Buckley, barass, have all been very good.

Then there are those behind him like Moore and Andrews who have had exceptional games.

I just don’t rate McKay that highly.

Nick Vlaustin - Harris Andrews - Luke Ryan
Max Holmes - Sam Taylor - Nick Blakey
Zak Butters - Isaac Heeney - Zach Merrett
Christian Petracca - Aaron Naughton - Izak Rankine
Tyson Stengle - Jesse Hogan - Charlie Curnow
Max Gawn - Caleb Serong - Nick Daicos
Chad Warner - Noah Anderson - Marcus Bontempelli - Matthew Rowell

Waterman AA conversion is not something i would have ever envisioned. Bloke isn’t just kicking goals but as undersized key forward playing like a bloke 10cm taller and 10kgs heavier.
He's the same height as Matthew Lloyd. Just because some mids are tall these days, doesn't mean he's a small bloke. He's a very imposing figure.

My top 3 players from each club after round 10:

ADE: Izak Rankine - Jake Soligo - Mitch Hinge

BRI: Dayne Zorko - Harris Andrews - Hugh McCluggage

CAR: Charlie Curnow - Harry McKay - Sam Walsh

COL: Nick Daicos - Josh Daicos - Darcy Cameron

ESS: Nic Martin - Zach Merrett - Ben McKay

FRE: Caleb Serong - Luke Ryan - Josh Treacy

GEE: Max Holmes - Zach Guthrie - Tom Stewart

GCS: Noah Anderson - Matt Rowell - Sam Flanders

GWS: Tom Green - Jesse Hogan - Sam Taylor

HAW: Jai Newcombe - Lloyd Meek - James Sicily

MEL: Max Gawn - Christian Petracca - Bayley Fritsch

NOR: Tristan Xerri - Harry Sheezel - Zac Fisher

POR: Zak Butters - Dan Houston - Jason Horne-Francis

RIC: Nick Vlastuin - Shai Bolton - Daniel Rioli

STK: Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - Josh Battle - Rowan Marshall

SYD: Isaac Heeney - Chad Warner - Brodie Grundy

WCE: Jake Waterman - Tim Kelly - Harley Reid

WBD: Adam Treloar - Aaron Naughton - Ed Richards
I like this but I'd add Alex Pearce, Max King and remove Geelong

Just going by the metrics on AFL stats here's the top midfielders. I could narrow down further but this gives an idea on who's leading the most key metrics

Walsh Vs Serong

Least confident with the defence.
I like the Clark inclusion.

Merrett has been everything as good as Butters this year.
I wish I’d seen more of Merrett, so I could have said with more certainty that Butters is very narrowly ahead of Merrett on almost all metrics except tackles and TOG, and the only place where Zach is narrowly ahead of Zak is in the dictionary. (/jk)

Everything else still subject to change but you’d be hard pressed not to select these guys at the end of the year

I know there's a fair bit of bias, but I'd argue that Merrett is a lock. He's having the best year I've seen from a Bomber since Jobe's redacted Brownlow year.

I think he's the Brownlow favourite, just because Gulden and Warner will steal votes from Heeney.

I also think Serong and Sam Taylor are locks.

What about serong who’s second in coaches votes and suspect he’d been leading the Brownlow
What’s he need to do to get on your lock list?
Heeney is probably in the 20's at this stage.

Could be but history says the umps seem to love the contested under their nose mid
Neale Cripps Fyfe wines types
I do love how Serong goes about it and he’s in my side at present and is likely top 5 for the brownlow at this point but he’s just not a lock as yet.

I wouldn’t be mad if he ends up winning it

They like them when there isn't a Dangerfield, Martin, Fyfe (who is way more than just "in and under") or Heeney type dominating.
