I mean, if Josh Eyre makes the list ahead of Sofronidis, I would assume it'll be because he's looked better in preseason.

If they skip both and take Teakle then I assume it means others will provide cover for the defense.

I'd be pretty annoyed if we didn't take a tall at all, but I'm not really hoping for one ahead of another
I'm sure we'll be selecting at least 1 tall. Surprised if it wasn't 2.

No reason we can’t select both. One is a third Howe type tall, and one is a key defender type tall.

I know it’s worth nothing but an early guess from me is that Eyre will be added, the guy from Footscray and Treakle. This only from what I’d do not on any form or knowledge just gut feel.
Bytel showed nothing at the Saints, CH is a very good state league player and that’s it and Sof well someone has to miss out.

We don’t need a key forward to take a heap of contested marks or be a certain height we just need a key forward to bring the ball to ground and keep the smalls in the game.

We’ve seen what our forward line looked like with Mihocek plus a leading forward or or Mihocek plus McStay and the latter looked much better.

Also not big on the idea of a versatile or unpredictable forwardline. The best forwardlines have players who specialise in their roles and are able to finish off goals that have mostly predictable build up.

2011 had a fairly predictable game plan of kick it Cloke yet we haven’t outscored that since.

Footy has come a long way since the era of kick it to your big bloke.

Versatility and unpredictability isn't a bad thing.

Are we allergic to Key forwards? McStay a key forward goes down with an acl so we invite another midfielder to train with the other mids, defenders and Ruckman. Come on this is beyond a joke.

Maybe they're hard to come by. No point inviting down a dud KPF.

Got a strange feeling that the list managers/coaches know what they're doing.

It's not about getting a ready made AFL calibre CHF to come in and play McStay's role to the exact same level immediately, it's about finding someone to provide cover at a position we were already thin at. The guy we're probably going to turn to to play his role was taken in the mid-season draft as a mature age player.

Harry Taylor was 21 when he was picked up, Ben Brown similar. Even the infamous Podsiadly was capable of producing when picked up at an older age.

You'll never know if you don't take a look at them.

Taylor and Brown were selected in the draft, they were obvious to everyone.

You're not going to have an AFL standard KPP just waiting around in December to be picked up by a club.

That’s a great highlight video which makes me think he’s a certainty to be signed by us.
Didn’t realise he could play both forward and back as well as he appears to be able to.
Bombers might regret not keeping him.

If any hiring it’s turned to kicking to your big bloke even more because of of how much oppositions floods. Versatility is only good if everyone can play their role.
