It’s easy to see us running out in round 1 with basically our grand final line up with the exception of Schulz for Ginnivan.
Even though it would be a sign that we are still strong and keen I am worried that if we don’t fit some of Macrae, Allan, Carmichael, McInnes, Johnson into the team then we are a big chance of losing some of them. I think a few of those boys could have serious AFL careers.
This could hurt more as many of our premiership hero’s are close to the end like WHE, Howe, Sidey, Pendles, Mitch, Cox etc.
Do we just play for now or do we need to have an eye on the future?

Every season we have a few injuries before round 1, there will be plenty of opportunities. We won't have a fully fit midfield to choose from

I don't have to do this. Reporting on training. I do this because I thought people appreciate it, I don't need to be accused of having some sort of agenda.
Because if it's like that -- Well, I can take my thoughts elsewhere.

I watch. I judge each session as it is and articulate my thoughts on the matter. Some players impress, some dont. I'm not in charge of how they perform at training. I don't need the stress of being accused of something that's clearly not true. I get enough of that on social media. I'd have a much easier time if I kept my thoughts to myself tbf, but here I thought it's something people enjoyed.
I look forward to your training reports as I live a long way away and can’t watch in person. You give a really good insight into what is happening on the track And your knowledge is equal to the best.

We love this thread and value your effort to bring us comprehensive training updates.

I hope you continue to report on BF, and not let the haters get to you.

We luv ya, Jen! Keep doing what you're doing.

As regards Sof I do not see signs of an agenda from any of the people watching training for our benefit. I do see Apples,Jen and Annabelle in agreement about Sof all are saying in their own way that he lacks a sense of urgency and it is very hard to see him turning it around now(would have to change his whole approach).

Not one of our voluntary training reporters has any sign of bias, they may have their favs as do we all.I too looked forward to Sof trying out but according to every Report from training consistently he is not grabbing his chance and it is better we know now than in a big match.

Keep up the great work Jen,Apples and Annabelle I for 1 appreciate it greatly.

Online searches have Sam Sofronidis as 194cm, he looks taller than that.

Match sim looks like.

And appreciate it we do.

Some of us dont make it to training and if you are like me and live in another state, where the media believe only two teams exist, you have no idea what is going on.

Your reports (and videos) Jen keeps me in the loop and gives me the Magpie fix I so desperately need.

Your reports are concise and your views are relevant, honest and well-articulated.

Thank you to you and the other track watchers for all your contributions, it really does help keep some of us in touch.

Don't frown over the few that dont understand what you are trying to do, instead smile that a lot of us look forward to find a comment from Jen2310 because I can count on it being worth the read.

Wait, there are haters for Jen and what she is doing? I honestly don't see how that can be possible!

Either way, there are thousands more lovers than haters of your efforts Jen - please know that.

And yes i had to un-ignore someone to see what was said.

We'll play what we consider our best team as we want to finish top 4 and win the flag.

If those blokes are fit and playing well, they'll get chances to show they belong in the best team, as we won't have everyone available every week.

I for one, cannot exist without your updates and insight.

Doing gods work for us mere mortals

Love your work!

Please don't stop writing your reports Jen. For those of us who can't get to training, they are so appreciated.

As for giving your opinion on the SSP's, we've asked for your thoughts. And they're consistent with what everyone else has been saying.
And it wouldn't matter if they weren't.

100% Jen, and pls remember that the vast majority are with you.
I learned a long time ago that posters (read passionate fans) can be triggered by the slightest of critiques of pies players in training.
I’d much rather stay impartial and give an honest view tho, rather than sugarcoat or ignore any potential occurrences of such.
I know as a reader they’re often the comments I find the most insightful….

I think all of the five you listed will play at some stage this season, we have to slowly phase the younger lads into the 23 as it will mean less of a sudden change when our old guard calls time. Maybe we can do the old “managed” for some of that old guard throughout

Fin should be playing R0 if the off season talking up of him, plus trading Tay is anything to go by (just wouldn’t make sense to do that and STILL not play him) Slide Pendles into the HB line and have him as the distributor, which will help with his longevity and compensate for the loss of speed (don’t get me wrong, I love the man but there were many a time last season where he was caught too many times) when leaves Fin, Nick and Jordy as your inside mids.

Reef and AJ will the be the next cab to fill in for Dan.

Allan will get a debut, just a matter of when, he’ll be our winger to succeed Sidey.
