Wow wee, McNeil and Gardner look like the definition of VFL players. Barring an injury curse in the Main Side, I cannot ever foresee them coming in ( Bevo Bingo aside ).. Garcia and even Spicer could easily provide more.

Yeah it's hard to deny Lobb kicking 5 goals and 20 hitouts as the 3 points, he was the difference maker.

As I’ve mentioned previously and brought up by commentators early in this game, Garcia was a VERY highly rated junior. Projected high draft pick. Got injured at the wrong time and dropped out of consideration. He was a junior gun. I suspect west coast will come hard if he doesn’t cement a spot by years end. He’s exactly the type of player they need - you know, can play football, well!!!

We have so many elite big men as well. We can fill the team with wingers and flankers through the draft.

Mate.. he has to come in to the midfield rotation. He'd be the fastest in there. His kicking isn't that bad, we can carry that with Bont, Libba and Macrae being good kicks.

I have to say, though, he looks so much like a young Bernie Quinlan that I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Despite the comfortable win in the end, found it a bit depressing how many clear VFL standard players we have that do not look like long term AFL players. Gardner, Poulter, Cleary, Bedendo and McNeil are all decent but they cannot be in our future plans. Arthur Jones has some elite attributes but goes missing far too often.

Freijah looks very promising. Good size, composed, won’t be shocked if he plays 200+ games. We need Garcia in the seniors while he’s in this form, bring him in while he’s confident and playing well. Hopefully he gets time in the AFL midfield and not just forced forward like usual

Fully agree with most of the above, would like to see Cleary get a decent run in Durea's role given we will not be competing this year before moving him on to

I like cleary. I think he has a bit to offer at AFL level. He's just behind a gun in Ed Richards.

I don't think we should be judging him on his disposal output. We all know it's the hardest position on the ground to get your hands on the footy. Some of the best small forwards in the league end up with single figure disposal tallies.

Little bit timid which is from a drop in confidence. He did have a few better contest Friday nights.

Yeah 1 tackle isn’t great. His pressure seems to have dropped also.

Wow you think? From what I seen he done most of the burning by trying to do to much. Again in saying that I feel it’s all from a drop in confidence. I still think an extended period in the vfl will help him get that confidence back. Along with working hard on the training track which im

I think Cody only averages around 10 disposals a match. Charlie Cameron probably the best small forward in the game averages just over 11.

Kick a couple, have a GA or two and put in some sustained defensive efforts and you’ve done your job as a small forward, even with only 6-10 disposals.

That said I don’t think Arty is quite there yet. His 3 goals was a good return but I’m not yet convinced he’ll make it. Fingers crossed for him.
