Willi had most of it in the first quarter but the wind was killing it for them, we didn't have any height up forward so we were kicking it up the line to nobody. Been much better with moving the ball this quarter

shame to see they didn't give Sanders minutes. Not sure having him as a sub is good for his development.

I think he'll debut if JOD goes down again or gets dropped this season. I think Keath plays if Jones is injured.

Really solid half.
Of the listed players there’s not a lot putting their hand up. Keath & Buss have been good, but not likely to be called up sometime soon. Bedendo, Poulter, & Cleary have been ok. Daniel, Jones, & Clarke haven’t really been near it (is Clarke ok? Didn’t see him at all that quarter). Freijah probably the one that’s half holding his hand up. I don’t mind Gardner in this role, obviously not applicable to the AFL team.

VFL listed players have been great, especially Bianco. Spicer not sighted, not sure he’s had a touch?

If we have to pluck someone from our VFL side for a mid-year draft I'd much rather it be him rather than Spicer who just looks far too outside for me.

If we have to pluck someone from our VFL side for a mid-year draft I'd much rather it be him rather than Spicer who just looks far too outside for me.

I'd prefer we go for someone outside our system this year. Usually we pick a plug and play type who can come straight in and perform admirably but with guys like Bramble, Harmes, Baker Scott and Poulter already I'd rather go a higher risk high upside type. Plenty of 19 year olds that missed out on the draft last year who fit the bill.
Bianco is someone I deffinetly don't want, he has always been too good for VFL but never handled the step up.

This game reinforces to me just how good a coach Stuart Edge is. He's come up with a plan to force Williamstown to defend with short kicks on one side of the ground. They haven't been able to break through with linkages to their forward half. Great tactics against a team which habitually plays this ground expertly. Hopefully, the tactics keep working in the second half.

Caleb getting sent to the VFL for the first time in years would've been a bitter enough pill to swallow, but copping a game at Willy really is a double whammy.

Feel like it sat in our forward line most of that quarter to be fair to Daniel, he was much better first quarter when the ball was down there a lot. Been a class above when he’s been near it, as to be expected, probably needs to do more for a call up though.

He's been good in other VFL games this year. Dogs want more speed and pressure.
