Watching Gardner just puts an exclamation point on why Bevo is culpable.

Our CHB for a significant period of time, on a long term contract, and just cannot play at all and never could.
Bevo is to blame for a lot but not that, that’s on the list manager

His kicking is fine on the switch.

If you didn't know better, watching this quarter you'd think Freijah was the guy with AFL experience and Daniel as a developing kid.

Been concerning watching Caleb at VFL level, Macrae responded by getting nearly 50 touches and forcing his way right back in.

Not sure if it's an attitude thing or what. But you'd think Caleb would be extra aggressive trying to prove he can offer something in the way of ball movement and hitting targets, something he's historically been great at and what the team's lacking. But generally feels like he's floating in and out of it.

A lot of our AFL players were invisible that quarter.

Keath has been pretty good and has used the ball alright.

Freijah looks really good, his kicking is outstanding and he’s not afraid to pull the trigger on the difficult ones, not sure why we are playing him back instead of a wing. Should debut soon.

Sanders started really slow but has built into the quarter, would expect a little more from him.

Busslinger has been solid, kills the ball when he punches it, positions himself well and neat by foot.

That was probably the most indirect quarter Footscray has played this season. Dominated possession but very slow buildups. Backline having a picnic: Freijah, Keath, Busslinger and Cleary getting plenty of ball but we are not direct enough to take advantage of it. Perhaps they'll sort themselves out in the 2nd.

Because he'll see more of the ball on the HBF so it's to fast track his development; the question over his head during the draft was consistency and decision making so it's easier to work on when he's getting a lot more of the ball.
