Unusual for Murphy to go missing in the last quarter.
I saw him do a 12m pass that was called play on and put his teammate under the pump

Then kicked one along the ground in the F50

One of his better Q4s to be fair

Scholl, Murphy, Schoenberg, Strauchan, Smith, Burgess all should be delisted. Nowhere near AFL level.
Gallagher experiment is over.
Should see some decent turnover at the end of this season.
Depth wouldnt make Richmond's VFL side.

Seems ludicrous to drop Nankervis after a period of poor form then sit him completely for a week

"What do I need to do to get back in?"

"Well, first hold your horses..."

Of those, I'd keep Scholl as we can't draf enough players to replace everyone. Schoenburg is on eookie list IIRC so any rookie pick will do.

The inside 50 kicking was the difference in the game

Adelaide aimed for Burgess, Sturt aimed for anyone in space
We should have won that in the last, with the wind change. However, we insisted on going for Burgess, which is fine in theory, but not when it was always four-on-one! What about using the outnumber elsewhere?

Know winning’s obviously not the be all and end all for the reserves but games they have lost this season have the continual theme of a midfield consisting of non-listed top-up players+Murphy and Schoenberg getting beaten all day with none of Dowling, Jones or Edwards who were all drafted as midfielders even being tried for 1 minute in there 🤮.

Also have to wonder how an AFL club doesn’t have a top-up player in the wings that can play as a tall forward when you lose a tall forward to injury. Don’t understand how AFL-listed players only having one real ‘tall’ (who’s 194cm at best) to kick to up forward helps their development and game style when they are expected to kick to the talls at AFL level.

I'd probably keep Burgess as insurance.
Scholl types are a dime a dozen. Hes devoid of confidence and adds nothing anymore. No drive, no speed, soft and skills are off.

Yeah they knew we had nothing up forward and just parked two blokes on him.

Sholl is contracted Burgess is not.

If I were coaching, I would have parked the Strachan bus at FF in the last to keep them occupied.
And Strachan was about as useful as an ashtray on motor bike today, I really don't get why they just didn't let him run out his contract as a waterboy or something.
