Look at those Sturt suppoerters all **** a hoop at being June premiers

So like Norwood supporters last year
After last years finals and a crap GF the year before I doubt there’s many Sturt supporters who are getting ahead of themselves at the moment but there’s some good footy and wins to enjoy.

Sorry to bring this up again but Sturt went 21-1 in the minor round 1978 with the only loss to Westies who came 9th, then Des Foster  - so enjoying the ride but not counting my chickens yet.

Exactly. I think Sturt has won something like 20+ home and away games in a row….means f all if we don’t perform in finals again.

Why - why mention this

I was just getting over it

Would have thought 14.26 may have had a bigger impact…

Why are we playing Edwards off half back?

We need to find another gun mid and have a million half-backs.

He’s a big-bodied, ball carrying, explosive player.

He should be learning his midfield craft and getting ‘midfield fit’ playing in the… wait for it… midfield.

Most of the best midfielders can play multiple positions, its not a huge deal IMO.

Wright mentioned it yesterday, we know what he can do in the midfield but hes unlikely to get a gig there at the moment, so learning another spot on the ground helps...... in theory

I don't mind Edwards at half back

What I mind is that when Laird was out injured we didn't bring Edwards in for a taste
Pretty much.

If youre going to move a youngster from his preferred role and it turns out he can perform the other role well, then pick him when there's an opportunity

I don’t mind the adding versatility angle and giving him another string to his game, but let’s be honest he’s far less likely to get a game as a HB than as a mid ATM.

Hes not going to play above Dawson, Soligo, Berry (in current form), Rankine or an unsuspended Peatling. I also like that weve rolled Rachele in there a bit and need to do it more.

But he should be playing ahead of Smith, and Milera has only recently found some decent enough form.

This is more a list management problem but it highlights our lack of thinking when it comes to the future

Its like Oliver Twist where the SANFL players should be happy with their contracts and stop complaining.

Given the Milera contract and Untouchable Laird - as noted above Rankine and Rachele holding down forward spots - where do an Edwards or Draper slot in?

Wait 3 years chumps and we might let you have a sniff

Thats poor management to me. Yes we are doing well but I think its a shaky foundation
