With the new broadcasting arrangements for this year, can somebody pls explain how I (and others) can watch Lions games this year?

From my understanding Ch 7 will no longer have any live Saturday games. Prior to this year, Ch 7 would broadcast live all Lions and Suns into Qld, even if it was on FoxFooty.

Did I need to get Foxfooty or Kayo? Which one is value for money?
TIA

Yeah you'll need Fox/ Kayo to see every Lions match live around the country now unfortunately.

If you're in QLD, every Lions and Suns Saturday match will be broadcast on 7, but on a 2 hour delay for the first 11 rounds (including OR). However, that delayed telecast can't start later than 8:30pm local time, so Saturday Night matches (Lions don't have any), will have a reduced delay. eg a 3pm Saturday afternoon match will have a 2 hour delay and start at 5pm on one of the 7 channels, but a 7:30pm match will be delayed by 1 hour on FTA and start at 8:30pm.

The affected Lions matches are:

March 15, Round 1 v Sydney 3:15pm
April 5, Round 4 v Richmond 4:15pm
April 12, Round 5 v Western Bulldogs 4:15pm
April 26 Round 7 v St Kilda 1:20pm

From Round 11 (Lions v Hawks) onwards, any Saturday Lions (and Suns) matches will be shown live on 7/7mate, just as what's happened for a long time.

Season long, any Lions match not on a Saturday will be shown live on 7/7mate regardless of whether it's a Fox or Seven match.

In terms of best bang for your buck, Kayo have a one week free trial and foxtelnow have a 10 day trial, so you can cover most matches with those. Kayo also have a $1 for your first month offer atm which will hopefully still be around come the start of the season too and would probably be the easiest way to go.

Tldr; in QLD you'll need Kayo/ Fox from March 15 - April 26 in order to see every Lions match live but should be able to do it for close to free.
