Not aware of any link to the Tigers (or any club other than Freo for that matter). Small forward with top 1% speed would appeal broadly to a number of clubs I’d imagine.

Thanks heaps

It’s bias from all the pundits linking Grjl to our picks because of our messaging about speed. I think it’s more a ranking based on ceiling imo
Well the philosophy under Jackson and Hartley was to draft potential superstars but players of good character who were good kicks that were likely to play 200 games and become A graders ... nearly looking for high floors the exception being Top5 picks

I was there, he’s a power athlete looked sublime in the sprint. Blew up about half way through the first lap in the 2km and ran 7:30. Don’t know how you fix that…
Maybe make him run to punt road from his house when drafted. If he doesn't make it, delist.

He had a really quick growth spurt shooting up to 192cm and he reckons he will get a bit taller yet.

Once the growth spurt happened it was just him adjusting to his size and growing in confidence.
Interesting! Are you big on taking him with one of our picks?

If we hold both picks I think we will be a strong chance to take him.

If we trade 4 and hold onto 3 (for whatever reason) I don’t think we will take him.

He’s not with Richmond. Highly rated.
Thinking about how much our recruiting team emphasise that we follow these players from a very young age it's easy to see why we would like Sharp more than some might expect

Seriously, would you touch that? great for American football. AFL not being able to run it out is a major problem.

I love seeing WA kids get drafted so probably biased but there’s definitely something to work with. Rookie spot and give him 12 months to build his tank with clear KPIs along the way. He’ll know he’s got one shot at it.

No doubt and whoever gets him will love him. I will be shocked if WC dont take him and Dursma and reckon for them it will be a mistake.

Who do you think we’ll mostly take with pick 3 if we trade out pick 4?
For a long time I was thinking it’s Sharp or Cumming.

But after Grljs combine testing it might have catapulted him into that spot.

might but I hope not.

Grij for mine has not done enough and is too risky for the first 5 or so picks.

Those promoting Grij are taking a bit of a punt on upside IMO.

I think he can slip a bit but that is me and some will say I am biased and that is fair enough to

I have guys like Duursma, Cummings, Sharp well ahead, Then the argument for Robey is a lot stronger than Grij for mine and CDT also has a stronger argument even though ruck types are a little more speculative A guy like X Taylor I would punt on before Grij and I would take others to, but that is just me, not trying to sound to negative. There was a Murphy Reid last year, Jagga Smith, why would there not be another type next year??? I mean there is no special need at all to pick Grij so high for mine.

I think Grij could get to 21, just say he does not and goes earlier. Is it the end of the world??? not for me as a RFC supporter

quicker slighter types coming all the time and it is not like he kicks like Will Ashcroft. I would prefer a Darcy Wilson over Grij and he went in the teens. he does not mark like FOS or Shai Bolton either, honestly Grij is a but of a yeah, nah for me

No disrespect to you, just a general thing:

How can anyone reckon they're gonna get taller? Is there any way to measure remaining growth?

My son broke his ankle when he was 15 and the doctor said after looking at xrays that his growth plates indicate he has a fair bit of growing left to do. (He was 182cm at the time) he ended up 194cm.

Yes there is .... when you are growing your bones have a different composition at the site of growth (called growth plates).

An X-ray shows growth plates as dark lines or "gaps" between the ends and the shaft, because they are made of less-mineralized cartilage that appears darker than bone. These plates are the areas of active bone growth near the ends of bones and are only visible on X-rays in children and adolescents. When growth is complete, the growth plate hardens into solid bone and the dark line disappears. .
I've got teenage boys and have an easier way. When the line on the wall goes higher every month for over a year, then I think he's still growing.
