With the new ruck centre bounce rules it definitely helps the argument to draft CDT.

The best thing about CDT is he could play multiple roles. Big winger, CHF, CHB on top of his preffered position being a ruck.

Hes Mark Blivcas with a bit more class and polish. Or Tim English but far more physical in a contest.

Alternatively, take Robey at 3 and remove any hope of being trumped, then dangle CDT. Swap 4 for 5 and 38 for 15.

Essendon take CDT, we take Grjl and then add Barker at 15, we can still match a bid on Kellaway.

We havent participated in the 1st round of the 2020, 2022 and 2023 drafts. We also had weak picks in the 2018, 2019 drafts.

The 2021 and 2024 drafts weve hit really hard - but we simply must start protecting our first round picks going forward, selecting best available talent - using free agency to fill in the needs when were contending.

If our club make another decision to not participate in this draft, by leveraging for the future that would mean 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2025 drafts gone missing for us in the 1st round.

We must use picks 3 and 4.

I keep seeing these comparisons for CDT but the one I see most is Buddy. He's tall, quick, good at ground level and appears to have a good footy brain. Not so good in the air. Not sure he's a ruckman. I'd be reluctant to pass on CDT. He probably has the highest ceiling of anyone in the draft.
