I personally prefer a player with a name that I can turn into a silly pun for my SC team name. Not even sure how to say that one.

Seriously though, I think we trade our pick for an established mid. Short of that we’d probably look to trade up for one of the best mids and then hope they can be elite early like a Daicos or Ashcroft.

Yep that’s a pretty good drafting strategy.

With your list profile an established mid is probably a good way to go, maybe a 22-23yo that’s a few years away from FA. Surprised Worpel hasn’t extended yet.

Tigers or Bombers may slide their 2nd pick a few spots if you add Blues 2R which will end up in well into the 30s if you’re looking to trade up the order.

Both of them? I would have thought CDT is both arguably the best talent and fits your list needs. Duursma I get hes a polarising choice I could see him that early or outside the top 10. His name is a bit muddied with the other ones I think but he’s the best of them. If not Duursma it would have to be Sharp or Greeves I assume.

Barker’s game doesn’t rely as much on lateral movement so the ACL shouldn’t affect him as much as it will say Jagga Smith. I think he’ll slide to late 1R/early 2R with the injury. Dominated SA preseason testing.

Lindsay would be great for any side, Ross will be eyeing him off and you guys are pretty good for wing/HBF kickers, agree on Dovaston.

He would be the logical Amon replacement. Not slow but not quick either but lethal left foot. Would prefer some zip Grlj or Rodriguez would be a nice PoD.

İnside mid who can burst from stoppage and be a goal kicking threat.
These two areas need bolstering.
Unless , Weddle becomes that A grade winger then, just need a grade inside mid.

According to Caro - Harley doesn’t want to play for a struggling club if he leaves and wants 10 x $1.5m. That rules eagles, Richmond and Essendon out. Surely it’s us or Geelong and neither typically like paying big dollars or long term deals. Get it done Hawks.

10x $1.5m is actually less than I was expecting to hear. With TdK supposedly being offered $1.7m, I was expecting HR to want $2m.

I’m not against obtaining Reid, but it has to be a reasonable price. We can’t ask others to stay on for less if we are going to pay Reid a ridiculous amount. Reid can come to the Hawks to win flags in the next 5 years or play for money at a team that may go nowhere.

So Twomeys first phantom just dropped I really miss Laura Kane I want to hear her gaslight us all again saying the draft isn’t compromised it’s complex…
Of the 25, 8 are club tied so assuming no one uses r1 picks for bid matching, that would mean 26 picks round one except add in free agency compo for TDK and Allen that’s 28 and if Draper and Worpel get end of first round it could be 30 picks.

..and that is why Laura is now lower down the totem pole. She tried to bend the truth like Trump's spokesperson. Just total BS. Seriously..

Hopefully Greg Swann will listen to the clubs (having been at a few) and fix some of this stuff up. Thank god we have a FOOTY person at the AFL and not a petty bureaucrat who knows jack about the sport that they help administer.
