Watch us give up Kozzie, our only decent forward for a 2nd ruck.

We will probably end up paying both there salaries as well while throwing in a bunch of 2nd round picks on top.

I'm not advocating for a trade, but saying Grundy and Gawn didn't work and therefore Jackson and Gawn won't, is a bad comparison imo. There wasn't a problem when Jackson was working with Gawn a few years ago. Also the fact that Jackson is a much more versatile player than Grundy.

Jackson had one half decent season with us he's massively romanticized. It also means one of them has to play forward half the game and neither of them are good at it.

Hasn’t it been covered that Pick 28 was about 38 after compensation and Father son (Morris was never an option at the picks we had?)

There were 10 academy/ father son and compo picks before pick 30
This has been explained several times to Mich0 he just moves the goalposts before circling back to make the same argument a few months later.

Gawny cheekily raised Dogga coming back again this morning on Triple M
I hope NOT.!

We do not need Dogga and Gawny.

With the young kid we have put some years into, is close to a game, and his body should be nearly ready.
Dogga is either a 1st ruck or a ruck-rover. Not a forward. And neither is Gawny.

This is why sDraper is just what the good Dr ordered. He can start off backing up Maxy as 2nd ruck, and get forward when Maxy is in the ruck.
A fine combo.

Luke Jackson would be in demand at the Blues (IF TDK goes to the Saints, which I think he should, for a win win.) Essendon, Sydney, or even the Cats.

Jackson was a spring chicken back then... playing almost as another midfielder. Not such a great ruck.

We need rucks who are powerful marks around the ground. This is where Maxy's real value is. When we lose this, we will struggle.

Your point is saying Jackson wouldn't make a great recruit. My point is that might be true but it has nothing to do with the failed Gawn/Grundy experiment.
I think its the same reason.
Neither Gawn nor Jackson can play as a forward, with any authority. And jackson is not a great overhead mark.

It would be a total waste of trading collateral. And put us further back.

I still think the Gawn and Grundy experiment didn't work because Grundy is a terrible footballer, Jackson is way better than Grundy imo. You still missed my very first point when I said I'm not advocating a trade for Jackson.

Jackson could play both roles. Grundy only Ruck

That said, we have Verral , we do not need Jackson.

Actually justifying something = moving goal posts now?

Cmon even you’re better than resorting to that one.

Begs belief we still have some here going into bat for Tim Lamb when we have $2m in cap space baked away in taggers and a revolving door of NQR tall forwards who can’t kick goals or take a grab rotating through the 1sts and 2nds.

Ironically moving the goal posts onto a completely different oval with this one. Kudos.

I reckon maybe somebody like sDraper could fill the role. What do you think, Sugar?

Not really sure what you're on about here.

There's plenty of good points to be raised about failures in our list management but rewriting history about us drafting Logan Morris with a second round pick that would have landed after he was taken is a completely pointless exercise.
