North won’t bid on Ison with our earlier trade. The risk is the Dogs, would be happy to flick them an F3 if it meant we get a shot at best available whoever that may be.

Or we trade out and bank some additional futures to pick up Murray later as rumoured. We have done well to escape an Ison bid on night one.

Purely from a list perspective I hope we’re looking at a tall forward.

No doubt others have a better understanding of quality, but Emmett or Ludowkye seem to fit the mould.

We would lose 28 but keep 38. It's not 10% in Round 2. It's 84 points. 28 will cover any bid from this point.

I think Dogs are a very strong chance to take Thredgold if North don't take him.

With King and Williams still to be bid on, there's still names like NHH, Phillipou, Ludowyke, Emmett, Greeves available if Ison isn't bid on...

North's next pick after 26 is 45, WB go from 27 to 70.

Given our 38 won't be impacted by a bid from either of them, the only way bidding on Ison helps them is if it results in us passing at 38 and taking a rookie instead.

Biggest risk is probably one of them trading back with another club with two picks between here and 38. WC or Collingwood would fit that description. If they chuck in a future pick to move up to 26 or 27, bidding on Ison would mean one extra player left in the pool at their following pick.
