Wouldn’t be too sure about the coin for Aleer.
Supposedly already turned down a very lucrative offer to leave GWS last year. Think it was again a cashed up STK offering up a L/T highly priced contract.
One of the most interesting players in the league imo. If he plays any decent footy (VFL or AFL) I agree someone will pay big overs in terms of $.

I’d be watching Adelaide’s talls very closely.

Still going to be extraordinarily hard to find worthy replacements for each without access to the top end draft prospects - With the expectation that we'll be towards the top of the ladder the next 3-4 years
Realistically, we only need to replace one to a similar level and fashion a more conventional attack to support them. There are plenty of avenues to explore.

Father/son - possibility of Lukas Koutoufides stepping up. Arli Walker won’t be KPP, but could be third tall hybrid (indeed as could Cody). Others?

NGA - ?

Draft - bargains can be found, not all of the games’ superstars were top 10 picks.

Trade - admittedly is less likely

Free Agency may be an option as the payments for Williams, Cripps, Curnow, McKay and Weitering moderate as well as management of Walsh and De Koning.

For mine, we develop a potent third tall, medium and small forward group in preparation for the transition of our keys as the priority. I don’t completely discount Lemmey (or maybe McMahon) becoming genuine AFL quality key forwards.

It is a couple of years early to look for replacements, but the Tassie compromised drafts will make it a challenge. I have no idea what level Kouta junior is currently at, but if he steps up, it will be a godsend.(Think is under 15 year)

Re: forwards; Mihocek, Riccardi, Treacy, M.Lewis, Rowan Marshall and then a slow burn like F/S Jake Waterman.

Don’t need a high pick, just the eye for the right pick (and development).

There’s always the poaching method if say Cadman or the like becomes a gun, or FA options to replenish.

Edit: L.Casboult via rookie. We could do it.

Can we just add Phillps and McMahon already
I’d take both, but we have been told they intend leaving spot open for Newman in case he recovers.

If it’s only one do we take the straight out defender considering already have two players in kemp and Silvagni who will be going for/def.

We could play both guys forward and slot Phillips back if Charlie has delayed start.

Does McMahon equal lack of confidence in those two?

C4 what we all want to know is what the Port list team has heard re Leek Aleer and SDK this year...

And TDK for that matter!

Also according to the Geelol nuffies they're getting Butters this year???
Leek wants to play for the Crows.

Which is very strange because they don’t really need him, but for some reason they are interested.

Not sure about TDK or SDK.

If we had the option of these KPDs at the end of the year in a trade who would everyone be taking?

Sam De Koning
Brennan Cox
Leek Aleer
Jake Lever
Ben Miller
Jack Payne
Jordan Butts
Tylar Young
Jacob Blight
Josh Draper
Zach Reid

Or would you be more inclined to wait a couple of years for Harry O'Farrell to come on physically. Really liked him in his draft year but I imagine will take at least 2-3 years to develop the body to play at AFL level consistently. Possibly time we can't afford to wait with our list how it is.
Leek aleer and partner hof for a reasonable price

With injured defender Nic Newman not officially ruled out for the season and Matt Carroll already added as an SSP selection, the Blues have one vacancy on their list and are expected to consider all options during the match simulation matches next weekend before making their decision.

Out of interest, how is HOF looking so far? Hes obviously not going to dominate. But is he doing well enough for where we would expect him to be at (ie a developing tall who will play the season in the VFl)?

From all reports he has beefed up and was competing strongly, until a recent training report had him with the injured players. Don’t know what injury. Others may enlighten you.

Showing good signs but still miles off it in terms of physical development. Fairly expected however, most KPP take 2-3 years before they start being able to compete physically and 5-6 years before they can really work over others in the contest.
