I doubt that a bit, I was checking lower league stats and most of the players had only played 5-6 games this season by time the MSD rolled around.Most/all those taken in the MSD were based on their performances during the season since then.
Yes Soap agree on all aspects you have mentioned.Walsh is similar as well. We need genuine leg speed and better ball use
Next year we can’t play Cripps Hewett Cerra Walsh Ben Campo Lord in same midfield and I rate them all individually
If Walsh stays he has to play Wing. It’s just his spot and he can dominate there
Jagga will help
Hopeful for Elijah but who knows?
Wilson and Moir are showing positive signs
I’d love Kemp to play middle to replace Cripps. It’s his best spot
We need to add more run and better ball use. Bergman looks good and is playing midfield now
Braden Campbell is an elite user we need and has leg speed
If TDK goes we MUST make something good from the pick like I’ve mentioned above as a minimum. IMO we also need to trade another top player to help quickly regenerate our list
Leg speed around ground, better ball use and a genuine X factor small forward must be our targets

It's not just Carlie after quarter time. It's our whole ball movement disappears after quarter timeSomething very wrong with Charlie at the moment.
He has kicked 14.7 in first quarters this year. If he sustained that for the game it is good enough to win the Coleman by a mile and close to 100 goals for the year, with good accuracy.
He is kicked 13.10 after quarter time in 13 matches this year. That is the equivalent of a 30 goal season = bog average.
In his last 4 games Curnow has 5.4 in the first quarter, and has not kicked a goal after quarter time. That's in matches against 8th, 13th, 16th and 18th on the ladder.
FOr what it is worth, Carlton players other than Curnow have 14 first quarter goals in those games, and 26 afterwards. Still a slightly higher first quarter rate but not that big a discrepancy. We piled on 5.4 to no score in the last quarter against North and Curnow did not score, did not take a mark, and had only 3 touches.
EIther he is carrying an injury or there is something else bizarre going on. The bike has to be related to that imo.

I wonder what Carlton has done to Jay Clark. A straight swap here would be the worst trade idea of all time.

If we were to trade Harry Campbell + 1st would be my ideal situation in terms of a return. I rate him as a top 2 kick in the league and can play on pretty much any line. But can't see the Swans letting him go after the recent contract extension.Straight swap? They would need to add a very good pick to even consider it
I would prefer Campbell and a first round pick
Not all of them. The bit that gets me is, every player taken in the MSD, was available us when we chose Evan’s and White. Seems really lazy recruiting to assume the best two options in the country just so happen to be already training with us
Florent, not playing regular football and with a long term deal wont cost much if he leaves, even with a really good pick thrown in, it would be a poor trade.Straight swap? They would need to add a very good pick to even consider it

Pick 5 (Swans first pick) + 2026 second (points for Cody) + Florent for McKay would be fine.
The question remains:
1. Do need to lose Harry in order to keep TDK?
2. Given Charlie’s output .. can we afford to lose Harry?

Poor Juddy had the same outcome. A warrior beaten up through lack of support.I would suggest the big difference is that Cripps has had the shit beaten out of him physically for over a decade. For all of Pendles class, I don't really feel the hard ball resonates with him quite as much.
Not to mention, Pendles has had a much better support cast over the years.
I think it eventually will add up for Crippa.
I'd much prefer to keep Harry over Charlie but club/marketing won't let Charlie go
Oh but it is.Was Wright at Hawks when they didnt match the offer for Buddy? I think i agree with you, regardless of who it is, if its anyone, i hope marketing isn’t something that’s considered.
Oh but it is.
It’s the Carlton Marketing Club.
