St Kilda: $2m/year
Power: $2.5m/year

It was NEVER about money for Nas
What’s the bet some in the media focus on it only being 2 years rather than Nas turning down the $30m he could’ve earned living near his family, in his home state and playing with his “mates”.

That is the huge story.

It’s a real show of confidence in the club and supports everything he’s said, including that airport “interview”.

Congrats to Dwayne Russell for seeing it that way.

I await the responses from Purple, Cornes, Rucci et al.

Port offered 12 years at 2.5 mill a season apparently (according to Tom Morris). That is astounding if true, no wonder he took so long to decide.
Kudos to Nas - he didn't go for the money.
Real vote of confidence in Ross and "this club".

(Imagine going from 750k to 2 million over the course of half a season)

A few people on here needing a refund from the body language courses they took ;)

so, who's going the start the 'Zak Butters, where will he be in 2026?' thread

Well as posted in my DM Group , Just kidding i don't have a DM group but was told he was staying nearly 4 weeks ago but i didn't believe it , the source that told me has one more bomb to drop on you guys but its not going to happen until his team are out of the finals

I thought i would just go the whole hog and get both done at the same time , it will give me credits for next time if ck up again

Mate, you were a secret ITK the whole time!?

I'm absolutely stoked that we've got Nas for at least another couple of years, but very interested to see what implications that has for the rest of the list. We cannot have the two highest paid players in the comp on the books without collatoral damage, which probably means clearing out the likes of Marshall and Steele. I'm hoping we just pull the pin on the TDK offer and back Dodzilla to take over when Marshall is winding down in a few years.

Can guarantee that paying Nas 2mil a year was not in the plan when we made contact with TDK. Definitely didn't expect to be paying Max Hall a hefty contract either. With Nas onboard, we could probably keep Windy for 650k but apparently we only planned on paying him 450.

Start working on an extension past 2027 as soon as the early months of next year. I’m dead serious too.

Aleer and TDK will be at the saints next year. Can we get anything else done in the trade period?

Best 22 for 2026 starts to look pretty nice now. Can all the key players stay fit?

Wooooooooo YEAH!!!!

The Office Party Hard GIF

That is all.

Lets hope we can progress enough in the next Two years so that the next contract is a no brainer for him , this signing should do a lot for team moral too i think , it might even get me to actually go next year

Exactly, I though he was gone.

Saying no to this sort of money, in your home state, when your family wants you home says an awful lot of good about what the club is doing behind closed doors.
Kudos to the whole club, but especially SOS who has been really vilified over the duration.
