Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

If they are serious about loading up and having a crack at a flag next year it’s not beyond the realms of possibility. They will be desperate to get Marshall. We’ll be setting the price. Take it or leave it.

Absolutely have to consider it, but ideally a player plus pick not just another late pick.

Or would consider straight swap for SDK.

Struggle to see Cats offering up that much though.

The cats have been used to getting their way with trades - GAJ, Dangerfield, Cameron. I don’t think they’ve have to deal with SOS, Gubby and Ross before though. Might be different this time around.
We’re not giving up our aim of making the 8 to help them win another flag.

It doesn’t matter if they are used to getting their own way. It’s actually going to be quite funny watching it all play out.

Only on here, but I wouldn’t be against it if it helps us get Flanders for less than 7.

I can’t say I’m too up to date with draft rankings but I haven’t heard anyone suggesting he’s going in the top 30. Probably closer to 40 than 30.

Surely that improves the quality of our list a fair bit?

I had a Quick Look at the spreadsheet and it appears a bid at 20. Would require pick 23, and a bid at 30 would require pick 33. After the second round we’d only need our next available pick.

It would, but I think we’d need another ruck. We’d be asking a lot of Dodson and leaving ourselves exposed if TDK went down.

OOC, so they take what we offer, delist him so we can DFA him, or walk.him to the PSD.

I think the suggestion has been it will be done for a late pick or possibly the PSD.

They offered 400 x 2, we offered 600 x 4, they don't value him, a future second would be a great result for them.
