I always find it funny when a player wants to go to a certain club but the club they've nominated doesn't want to pay up.

Shows how much they actually wanted Cal. Crows knew they'd get him in the PSD and offered bugger all.

By doing that, he would effectively be screwing the club over. While he's free to do that, it would damage his reputation at the club. Players genuinely do not walk through the PSD because they want their club to get a fair trade - which we never got.

If they weren’t offering anything of any real value then I won’t lose any sleep over us doing this, I just hope we have communicated and been up front with Cal. Even if he gets to the Crom in the PSD, we aren’t sitting around accepting whatever other clubs want to give us.

Depends on the contract amount and whether other clubs would be willing to match that amount or offer more (Aka West Coast). Also depends on if Cal actually wants to live in Adelaide as well.

There is a bit of unknown to all of this. I do find it interesting that we wouldn't take F2 & F3 for a player if we 100% knew he was never going to stay. If there's a world in which we truly believe we can keep him, then it makes a bit more sense, even if it doesn't work.

I personally think he’s overrated, classic good stats bad team type of player. Undersized and can’t kick over a jam jar. Good player but nothing more than that.

I think our list management team is looking at the bigger picture, we are showing we wont buckle in regards to how we value a player, it will be good in the long term.
