Just Looking ahead to the draft, based on us winning the next 4 games I think we finish 12th and start with Pick 7 which will blow out to Pick 13 by draft night:

1 - West Coast
2 - West Coast Compensation Pick
3 - Richmond
4 - Richmond (North Melbourne)
5 - Matched Bid (Brisbane) Dan Annable
6 - Essendon
7 - Matched Bid (Gold Coast) Zeke Uwland
8 - Matched Bid (Gold Coast) Dylan Patterson
9 - Essendon Compensation Pick
10 - Essendon (Melbourne)
11 - Gold Coast (Port Adelaide)
12 - Matched Bid (Sydney) Max King
13 - St Kilda
14 - Hawthorn (Carlton)
15 - Carlton Compensation Pick
16 - Sydney
17 - West Coast (Hawthorn)

Gold Coast and Sydney won't hold those picks but they will be on-traded to clubs who will be using them and their bids will be eaten up by mid 20s picks. Crazy to end up with Pick 13 after we have spent the better half of the year bottom 4.

This is also based on my ladder predictor of

9th - Hawthorn
10th - Sydney
11th - Carlton
12th - St Kilda
13th - Port Adelaide
14th - Melbourne
15th - Essendon
16th - North Melbourne
17th - Richmond
18th - West Coast

If we end up 15th/16th with pick 4/5 initially just watch the media light up about how "awful it is" that our pick could be pushed out to pick 12/13 and that its just not right.

You know, the shit our President has been vocal about for the entire year and has been shat on constantly by the media and community at large. The narrative will change when the reality of what we have to deal with with rebuilding is front and center.

There is a difference betwen a stacked midfield and a above average midfield. ours isnt 'stacked'.

u know exactly why he is considering port, its pretty well dodocumented.
All good things happen in the fullness of time
He's not playing like he is leaving
He's playing like he is staying

It is also possible that with both the Blues and Saints run home, that Saints could win 4 and Blues only one. If so we could slide to Pick 15.

Anyway

Hes future obviously is in the air, i wouldn't be so confident, i would be nervous, its getting very late in the year.
What part of the season did DeGoey re-sign again with the Pies again?

Buddy said NWM equal second best player in AFL (Bont first, NWM and Daicos equal second)

Don’t think Whitlock should even be part of the conversation. They’ll have to pony up more than that if he goes.
Believe it or not, even our “mate” Cornes said this morning that he cannot see how Port can come up with any deal that would satisfy the Saints

I honestly reckon we hand out at least two thrashing over the next four weeks.

We've played some good teams recently and hung around for most of the game without getting a lick of the ice cream.

I'm predicting a tightish win against Melbourne which will just release all tension about not winning for a while and then we'll go out and hand out 2-3 40+ wins and then the media will go from "ross lyon sux" to "another wasted year for the saints finishing in no mans land"
Agree…

💯 his manager would have to tell home that. If he did request a trade to port it will get really unpleasant. Not sure if nas wants that but who knows what nas wants

Won’t happen. The whole media are that far up the afl’s date it’s only their toenails hanging out.
