Without knowing the in's and out's of contract status. I'm very surprised that the following have survived.
Fog - Durdin - Binns - Acers - Monahan - Duffy

All are contracted except the Irish lads, who might be decided on a little later

Be interesting to see if this plays out like Papley in 2019 or Houston last year.
He has wanted out of our club for a while now and it appears the Swans are extremely keen.

It will get done but I think there will be more than just the 2 clubs involved. Will happen on the last day of the trade period imo

Sorry to intrude..but Lemmey sacking means there is a zero chance Curnow gets traded. Absolutely zero.
Harry is an ongoing slight risk (mental battles) so no way you would have sacked Lemmey if there was even a 1% chance of CC leaving.
Just an opinion.
Im a big Charlie fan.
Peace.

Sounds like a three-cornered contest to get us the best deal for Charlie.

Wonder if we've reached out to some stars we want to pilfer to gauge interest.

If Charlie becomes Butters or Gulden, then the club could sell that

Thinking deeper on Raz and Cincm it's these types that almost always get cut first when a team no longer believes they're in a window.

Older players - 29 and 28 respectively - who are fringe players at best and who lack the upside of younger prospects who need game time in order to progress.

This is an indicator to me that were going into a longer term reset regardless of whether or not we move on any of our stars.

I'm still disappointed that Lemmey didn't earn an opportunity. I don't watch the VFL nearly as closely as others do but was he really that far back from earning s chance when our season was over so esrly? Or did they stamp his papers ss early as I thought they may have?

Either way we're probably 2 young developing talls short at the very least
I too am disappointed Lemmey being delisted. Did kick goals in the vfl. Key position player. Never given a chance at senior level. Player development at Carlton? Only now in the last few weeks. And what a difference it made.

Factoring in TDK, Silvagni and now Lemmey.

Carlton at the AFL National Draft since Patrick Cripps 2013 AFL National Draft.

The failures of 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, is why our list is unbalanced and lacking in depth.

2014 is abysmal.

Shows how long a legacy a bad draft can have

Correct moves so far given the FA losses, but hopefully we can tee up some depth trades out the door to take advantage of what should be a fairly healthy DFA/budget trade market.

Finlayson would have been a great get, but his wife's cancer diagnosis and treatment more than reasonably rule out a move to Victoria, probably any AFL move at all.
Surprised Monohan wasn't announced. There will probably be 1 or 2 more delisted pending the FA/trade period also i suspect.
He's on a completely separate rookie list, so it will come down to how we evaluate players like Gresham, Clark, and any international candidates we've identified.

Monahan was coming into his own this season, appeared to have shed some weight and got through a lot more running in games. Has the athletic profile and skills, game sense was increasing and next step would be getting more expansive with his passing by foot and more involved in intercepting and marking the ball.

I think we might stick with him unless Clark bobs up and does something amazing in the next 2 months.

Only Walsh a can't miss success. Kemp the only other survivor.

Only huge loss is TDK. A few passes but nothing significant.

22 total selections.

Too many wild selections in that 10-45 range, which reeks of SOS and Brodie's careers.

SOS compounded that with his mature rookie plays.

Same strategy they had with trades as well and SOS has taken to St. Kilda (especially with their current targets).

Dodoro has had a similar mindset.

Lots of lottery tickets. If they pan out (TDK) they hit the jackpot but they don't account for their misses.
