Voss blaming everyone (Injuries, depth, list profile) but himself and coaches. I'm shocked reading this. 🤮

Having spent two years delisting / trading all the depth with kids, we are now looking to bring in more experience.
FMD this club refuse to accept the issues.

All our key players are in their prime.

Gotta have a crack and see what happens.

We have some really talented kids on the list, which has come as a huge surprise to me tbh. No point continuing to load up on them.

B grader? On potential maybe.
Currently C grade, barely.
Another half back costing draft picks(Florent) doesn't float my boat.
We've got Newman returning, Saad contracted, Cow will be a beast, Carroll is a young gun, Ollie has surprised me, Billy and Jeff haven't hardly begun their careers...and Ison should also be an option.

I need convincing that he's that much better than some of the players already on the list.

So far Rosas and Grewzewski are about the only suggested targets that prick my interest, depending on the cost.

Getable players who would make an immediate impact I would be having a crack at;

MIDS
Brayden Fiorini - Contract Status: UFA at the end of 2025
Kamdyn McIntosh - Contract Status: UFA at the end of 2025
Adam Treloar - Contract Status: Out of contract at the end of 2025

DEFENDERS

Lachlan Jones - Contract Status: Out of contract at the end of 2026
Jake Lloyd - Contract Status: UFA at the end of 2025
Jason Johannisen - Contract Status: UFA at the end of 2025

Jake Lloyd a bit 'iffy' and Jones Still contracted but VG defender

Can’t archive paywalls anymore but basically re TDK, Bassat says …

Tom De Koning is not quite as high as has been represented and we don’t have him yet so he’s no part of our salary cap if that doesn’t happen,”

If his body is not totally cooked I'm thinking we could do with his burst pace and delivery to the chest of big H (because we don't currently have anyone capable of putting it out in space in front of him except Williams). at 32 we may get 2 years.

I'm sorry but these are horrible suggestions

For us to move forward, we have to move on from some proven, overpaid underperformers... we just have to.

Charlie played like he did not gaf whatsoever at times this year. When your team is struggling, they'd be looking for their leadership group to step up... now Charlie of course was not alone on this front... but he was shocking for the most part...

If he is testing the waters, then get rid of him... strike while the iron is hot... because it's rapidly cooling...

No we don’t have to.

Charlie played like a guy who didn’t have a pre-season and you could tell all season he wasn’t right. Making him the scapegoat of our problems is wrong and lazy.

For us to move forward we need to address our needs by making smart decisions, we need to bring in fresh assistants who will update the game plan to a modern style and we need to build around our elite players while also keeping them fit. The answer is not trading Charlie, Walshy, Harry, Crippa or Weiters.

Good clubs don’t do that.

Have a listen to Weitering this morning re blokes that want out.
I doubt that he’d be that definitive publicly without the club’s imprimatur.
The club have stated they need to get busy.
Too do so they’ll need currency, both in trade capital and salary cap space.
Join the dots and don’t look back …

Charlie reportedly wants a change though, we aren't shopping him around. My theory is that the cat got out of the bag before he wanted it to and had to back track. The club have said he isn't up for trade but make no mistake, if the right deal presents itself, they will look at it (given he wants a change which by default means he isn't all in with us).

Re his form, if he was hampered, underprepared or injured he shouldn't have been playing.
