From memory all wanted to stay though?Malthouse.
Betts, Garlett, Robinson & Waite all walked/were pushed.
Henderson, Yarran and Bell come to mindWhen is the last time three starting 18 players have wanted to leave Carlton?
Spot on, people denigrating these names dont watch enough football.I might be wading into risky waters and getting ahead of myself here, but I distinctly remember having a bit of a laugh when Hawthorn brought in guys like D’Ambrosio, Mabior Chol, and Lloyd Meek after moving on some big names.
Yes, they had some early growing pains under the new coach, but it really reinforces that the right system and structure can elevate players and help them perform to their strengths for the good of the team.
Hopefully, we can pull off something similar with our own “under-the-radar” depth players like Khamis, Reidy, Petrucelle, and others who might come in this off-season (as Wright hinted).

1979 we lost our premiership captain coachWhen is the last time three starting 18 players have wanted to leave Carlton?

Interesting points. Problem is, our system, unfortunately is not much better.Spot on, people denigrating these names dont watch enough football.
I legitimately rate all the blokes we're linked with. Even Petrucelle, has speed to burn but hasnt come on being in a shit system for so long, throw in a few injuries and that's all she wrote.
Reckon he has something to give.
It's fine to bring these names in but they aren't replacing who is going out. They should be more "adding to the depth we had" which was the messaging from the club. Will be difficult to replace the best 23 players with a bit of our draft capital already going towards Dean/Ison who are longer term prospects.I might be wading into risky waters and getting ahead of myself here, but I distinctly remember having a bit of a laugh when Hawthorn brought in guys like D’Ambrosio, Mabior Chol, and Lloyd Meek after moving on some big names.

THe players don't believe in Voss and the club didn't sack him after the worst year imagineable. The player do not believe we are going anywhere. This decision to retain Voss is going to set the club back yet another 5 years. There is something seriously rotten at the club. What the hell happened in the last 18 months?![]()
Maybe the players should stop blaming the coach every time and show some heartTHe players don't believe in Voss and the club didn't sack him after the worst year imagineable. Rubbish, best move ever. Get rid of every one on the list who doesnt want to be there. Nuffs enuff. Has it not ever occurred to anyone that the real problems at our club are finally being exposed? Get rid of em all.THe players don't believe in Voss and the club didn't sack him after the worst year imagineable. The player do not believe we are going anywhere. People have had the knives out for TDK & Jack, but have been ultra defensive about Charlie.put TDK aside because that’s a meal ticket too difficult to refuse. But the likes of JSOS and now Charlie wanting to leave - says more about them. Charlie, the club parades you around like a superstar, with Charlie’s Crew etc. if you can’t hack it then maybe choose another career.
With Charlie and others ... may depend on whether we improve enough to get back into the Top 8..?
The Players want to succeed ... not languish around 12th on the ladder.
If Carlton don't make the 8 next season ... then I'd expect more will want to leave.. and I wouldn't blame them.
I hadn't noticed.Change
Partly, but North offering an additional year on the contract compared to us got him over the lineJarrad Waite wanted out from memory
I wish I was feeling more confident about next season.Just quietly, shedding senior players and retaining Voss going into the last pre-tassie draft suggests that the club is prepared (planning?) to finish substantially lower than 12th

Wanted two years. Carlton offered one.Jarrad Waite wanted out from memory
I reckon there’s more to the Lemmey story. Heard from a pretty reliable source that he used to pinch other people’s umbrellas from the stand at the Carlton cafe. The Harry Lemmey delisting is truly bizarre imo. We're an odd club sometimes.
