Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I remember one instance where Ollie was streaming through the corridor screaming for the ball, and the skipper burnt him badly and turned the ball over. And the skipper looked straight at him and thought nah, I'm gonna bomb it long.Agree on that D. There was a lot of team mates not trusting each other.
Between the two of them, they have run all day.Wing or HHF for sure. Prefer Wing and Cotters HHF
He’s a winger. Run him through the middle as well.Yes I think HFF, or wing. Not backline.
Hello.
I, like my fellow Eagles fan the page earlier come in peace.
When you say token picks, how token do you mean?
This is a weird case where even though we were almost certainly delisting the good chap six weeks ago but then he was given one last shot when we had some injuries and finally showed a little bit to warrant mild excitement.
As such he was offered a deal comparibile to Carlton’s and he’s still chosen you.
This makes this a weird case where we want the guy, and a nothing fourth round pick won’t cut it.
It also needs to be pointed out that hypothetically we could re draft him through either the PSD or ND, but also pointed out that our list management team has a large supply of Diddy’s finest baby oil and allows it to be used on itself. We don’t have a history of playing hard ball, not even with the new hierarchy, see paying pick 14 for out of contract Liam Baker last year as an example.
So. Where does that leave us. I have no idea.
Perhaps it ends up being a swap for Holland? I have my own reservations there but we have been linked.
I need to stress I’ve got a lot of time got Carlton. Great place, great fans and if I were a Melbournian instead of a Perthian I’d be a bagger with you lads and ladies. This is no way an inflammatory or troll post. If I’m off the mark, it’s well intentioned.
Cheers.

For mine this is good as it should allow Ollue to play where he should always have been played and that being wing. He is not a HBF. My biggest issue has been the persisting with players out of position for whatever reason. Maybe this is the righting of that. I rate Hollands, however a kicking coach over summer might be a novel idea!
Pick 54 does us absolutely no good. Literally none.Being out of contract is key - once he is out of contract and not a proven starting 22 player you get next to nothing for him -even though you guys came late with a extension offer. There are so many examples of this in previous trades.
We need points in the draft for Dean and Ison and they cut out at 53. Chesser would be worth pick 54 at best (a 3rd rounder). 4th rounder far more likely.

I thought Ollie was great this year, I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t finish top 5 in the bnfI think that putting Ollie back has helped with his defensive work TBH. If he team mates didn't burn him when he's an acre in the clear, he'd be doing a lot better.

A future 3rd maybe I spose. This year? Zero function.
I am pointing out that in order for us to improve, we need to bring in players who offer more than these guys.Only TDK and Curnow are top 10 players for us from that lot. Certainly Cincotta and Fantasia actually weaken your argument.
Understandable it doesn't suit your club but it's about where these trades end up. I think it was a fairly similar situation with SPS and he only brought in a pick in the 50s which we turned into Lewis Young via a 3 way trade.Pick 54 does us absolutely no good. Literally none.

That's good, cos last time I checked, we don't even have pick 54. Not sure where the poster came up with that. I agree that would be unders for the trade regardless of the potential injury risk.Pick 54 does us absolutely no good. Literally none.

He should be playing wing or HBF or whatever - but in the VFL until he can sort his kicking out.
The biggest weakness of Voss's coaching is his continuing to play guys who cannot kick at an AFL level.
It costs us any hope of finals.
Ollie is a prime offender but he's also weak physically so can't tackle or break tackles. His running strength doesn't make up for the weaknesses.

Going off the top of my head Fantasia and Cinc combined for 10, SOS played 13, TDK 23, Lij 2, Doc about 15.
That’s a bit to replace to improve

Our 3rd round pick is currently pick 44 (not 54) according to zerohanger....which could come in a few picks on draft night, so could be getting closer to the mark.
Reckon there'll be a fair bit of movement though by both clubs with other trades, so I wouldn't get too hung up on current picks. Could end up just being a pick upgrade of some sorts.
Been told me may be Essendon bound. I hope not. Would be a great grab. Other options would be Jacob Blight or, a for son of the blues, Angus Schumacher. Has grown and filed out and came equal 7th in the Magarey. He’s not 193 and looks around 95-98kg.On a side note, I reckon we could do worse than to sign Ethan Phillips as a DFA for a year.
Was dominant in our VFL side this year (of course won the B&F) and we're in need of a back up key defender with JSOS pissing off, HOF going down blah blah....
I really don't get why we dont try him in the 22. He's not going to be any worse than Young.Been told me may be Essendon bound. I hope not. Would be a great grab. Ollie will be fineChesser confirmed, talk of Sholl and our chase of HBs with speed and foot skills.
Where does that leave Ollie?
Has some really good traits, though his lack of strength, peripheral vision and foot skills, let him down at times.
Knows how to kick a goal maybe HF?
He’s a SA kid who plays in his home state and is contracted until the end of 2026. I get he looks good when he plays so understand you raising the question.I don't get why they're not having a crack for luke pedler He's on the fringe at the crows. He's a tough nut, nice kick and plays half forward and when he's picked he hits the scoreboard.
Not a huge fan of Players who happily accept a bundle of $ and supported by a Club who stick by them throughout their Injury recovery ... and once recovered want to leave and join another Club.Reckons the surgery was the right option and thinks WCE would be spewing they have lost him after the work they have put in getting him right.
