Sorry spelling error. I meant can.I don't know whether we've told Buku we've got him pencilled in as a defender or not, but believe he can also play forwards.
Pretty confident Kemp and Saad would be in that team ahead of Evans, and one of Carroll or Cottrell. Newman or Dean might be struggling ahead of Carroll at that stage. Moir also not a lock (but we're obviously hoping for the best).
I'd probably boot Pittonet and just graft in the ruck, then keep extra run in the team.
We should take a Leek.
Would 650k for 3 years get the deal done and pull out of Khumis?
Might cost us 300k more but he might be enticed to play seniors
I'd offer 550 X 3I wouldn't be paying that for Aleer.
I can see your reasoning but if we are going to attract players, we can not afford to finish in the bottom 6. A genuine key defender, upgrade on Young could be worth additional wins.I wouldn't be paying that for Aleer.

Good PointIs he a key defender though? I would have thought more intercept third tall type.![]()
This is were the Lij thing is complicated. If you could give him a lobotomy and sort him out and have, as you say, he Ainsworth and Williams across half forward. That would be very strong. It’s a real pity if Elijah did end up out because a forward line of small/mids in Ainsworth, Williams and Elijah would be something to get excited about. Add in Mots off the bench and we are starting to look like it.
Ainsworth has been a mainstay of the GCS forward line for close to a decade. He is nothing like Fantasia or Evans as an acquisition.Ainsworth confirmed, not sure how i feel, never really rated him as a player but think he is an upgrade on what we have.. feels like another Fantasia, Evans type acquisition that is not going to move the needle.
As in you don't believe it happened or..?Geelongs "landmark" offer was a joke.
Still five days left. A better offer will come. Then the club can decide. As in you don't believe it happened or..?
Personally I reckon they're crazy to knock it back if it was legit. Pretty risky forcing a player to stay who doesn't want to be there.

Oh what? Yeah that maybe changes things, where does the mid 30s one come from? You think it would be crazy to not trade a superstar for 3 picks in the 20s (one of them maybe in the 30s)?

(I'd dispute he's 'superstar' currently but anyway)
