Pretty confident Kemp and Saad would be in that team ahead of Evans, and one of Carroll or Cottrell. Newman or Dean might be struggling ahead of Carroll at that stage. Moir also not a lock (but we're obviously hoping for the best).

I'd probably boot Pittonet and just graft in the ruck, then keep extra run in the team.

I can see your reasoning but if we are going to attract players, we can not afford to finish in the bottom 6. A genuine key defender, upgrade on Young could be worth additional wins.

This is were the Lij thing is complicated. If you could give him a lobotomy and sort him out and have, as you say, he Ainsworth and Williams across half forward. That would be very strong.

Ainsworth confirmed, not sure how i feel, never really rated him as a player but think he is an upgrade on what we have.. feels like another Fantasia, Evans type acquisition that is not going to move the needle.

Ainsworth has been a mainstay of the GCS forward line for close to a decade. He is nothing like Fantasia or Evans as an acquisition.

He's a role player but a very solid one. Elite runner and a good kick inside 50, just not the best kick at goal for whatever reason.
