no back up tall forward however if Harry gets injured/ concussed / has another mental illness flare-up....No TDK or JSOS to cover either ...Lemmey also delisted so absolutely nothing coming up from youngsters/ development alsoLooks like Harry becomes No1 forward.
Thinking it will work very well, thanks CC
Charlie will thrive and I wish him every happiness on field and in life. This post from dangertroy in September is worth bringing back up...(with a few tweaks in blue)

The five stages of grief: Charlie Curnow edition:
1.) Denial: Charlie = Fake News!
2.) Anger: He’s a conditional, lazy campaigner and his manager is a flog!
3.) Bargaining: Walter, Humphrey, Rowell and 2 first rounders or we keep him!
4.) Depression: He’s going to end up at Geelong or Sydney isn’t he?
5.) Acceptance: Finnbar Maley has some great VFL highlights -

34 and 41 cover a bid in the early to mid 2nd round. Not even remotely close to covering Dean.Wouldnt mind seeing if WC bit at 10 11 22 for 2 34 41.....
Those later picks should come in enough to cover a Dean bid? But we may have to sacrifice Ison....
Quietly confident Harry will have a great year.no back up tall forward however if Harry gets injured/ concussed / has another mental illness flare-up....No TDK or JSOS to cover either ...Lemmey also delisted so absolutely nothing coming up from youngsters/ development also
Indeed. Most mock drafts have him much lower than early in the season. Quite bizarre: not sure what he has done wrong, but a lot of guys appear to have passed him, including Grlj.Lindsay has been spoken of as dropping down the order too.
The queries over his contested game have scared some off imo. Would still plug him in on a wing or a flank for 10 years no issue but people like outside players that project to having the ability to go on ball in the long run.Indeed. Lindsay has too much ability and particularly skill to be a failure. The only question for mine is if he is a very good seagull or a brilliant rebounding distributor. Would be happy if we called his name, but absolutely a key forward to develop seems a higher priority now we seemingly (will) have added two great pieces to our forward structure. The queries over his contested game have scared some off imo. Not having a dig at you directly, but I just dont get this fear of depth in the forward line.no back up tall forward however if Harry gets injured/ concussed / has another mental illness flare-up....No TDK or JSOS to cover either ...Lemmey also delisted so absolutely nothing coming up from youngsters/ development also

We have Kemp, Moir, Harry, Williams, Motlop, Ainsworth, Frank the Tank, Will White, Hudson O'Keefe, Flynn Young and Cotters as backup.
We've been limping along with 1 KPD for 4 years, had McGovern, JSOS & Haynes help out playing taller roles, but no 2nd KPD & no stability.
Saad, up and down, Boyd in and out, Newy injured for 12 months, Gov likely gone, JSOS gone, HOF our new recruit developing KPD injured in the first few games he played (imo despite killing it his body is underdeveloped/played too early), Doc Retired, Young cannot hold his spot, Wilson only just broke in the side, Cowan missed a chunk of the season and Weitering has played injured for a good deal of the season...
Yet we STILL dont have a 2nd KPD and people are worried about our forward line!
We DO needs to sign a Hardbody for 12 months Minimum.Weitering, Young, Dean, O'Farrell, Haynes.
We do NOT need to spend any valuable currency on a tall defender.
Carroll, Wilson, Charleson, Cowan are good young defenders and Flornet if he comes will be fine. If Boyd gets fit and does not get paid out is solid backup. Saad will be good again when others come back and release him higher up the ground and prevent him being tagged.
Price of incompetent list management from years prior. The lack of investment in quality small and medium forwards has left us behind the 8 ball when it comes to other teams. We've gone from having the best KP line to line to having the worst and most vulnerable.
While other teams are racing to build these lines, we are giving them away due to the apparent new age gameplans.
I really do wonder sometimes.

Yes we've become 'Spineless' with our recruitingWe've gone from having the best KP line to line to having the worst and most vulnerable.

Which is why I think we need to hold on our Contested Gameplan. Run and Gun is going to be unsustainable and clubs will move away from it.I stand by my comments that whenever we decide to pivot the game changes again on us… we’re pivoting away from KP guns now and following the pack but we’re always following and never leading. We did this at the start of the rebuild … followed hawthorns model with the 2 big bananas and big bodied mids and then the game changed. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if history repeats
Would placing HO'F on the LTI open up another list spot through the SSP?If we do get Buku (and the Charlie deal goes through) as expected, I really don’t think we’ll have the list spots for a mature tall defender (or any train on player).
Delist Gov and White, and pay out Lij, gives us 3 vacancies.
Match Dean, get another 1st round draftee (either by trading up, or 11 sliding back), and Ison.
It would, but I’m not sure we’d do it. Would be tough for a kid’s motivation to be put out for 18 months straight up rather than 12 with a carrot.Would placing HO'F on the LTI open up another list spot through the SSP?
Can still play vfl, no?It would, but I’m not sure we’d do it. Would be tough for a kid’s motivation to be put out for 18 months straight up rather than 12 with a carrot.
Mentioned earlier that Charleson and Evans will be re’rookied for 26…Reckon we should be fine for list spots; McGovern, White and Young are still without a contract, whilst Binns has been floated as a potential trade to West Coast (I’d assume a Will Brodie-type trade). Charleson is also out not guaranteed a spot in 26.
White and Young showed a bit, but when you’re replacing them with top-end draft talent, it’s the right call.
