Surely Ras doesn’t go to bullies. If he stays in pushing Brayshaw to the skinny side wing alternating with Johhno and letting Ras build his minutes in the guts. He doesn’t get moved off the ball.
Mate, if Erasmus goes to Bulldogs or West Coast even, whilst keeping JOM. As well as trading Brodie.

**** this club. Literally. Why even bother

If any of Banfield, JOM, NOD and Freddy survive the trade/delist period, they should all be depth only next year. The list management has failed this club if any of those guys go into 2026 as a preferred starting player.

JOM and NOD both started the season with a lot of promise - I hope NOD can resurrect his natural ability

JOM probably knew this season was his last roll of the dice, but we might still need his maturity and experience now we no longer have Fyfe and Son Son

Exit meetings on Monday or Tuesday?

Not looking good IMO regarding Erasmus - history says that players staying sign on before their season ends more often than not.
Yep, too much like when Acres and Schultz played out of their skins to get traded

The literal reason he hadn't re-signed was game time concerns according to all reports. Nothing about contract, family, anything like that. Those concerns were always gonna become clearer for better or for worse (in this case for the better) by waiting. He was never gonna re-sign before the season ended: it was either gonna happen then or never.

Eg: Deven Robertson (re-signed October 2023).

NOD needs time on ball. He did at the start of the season.
JOM isn’t a big game player, he’s 32 and 9 disposals in a final v Erasmus, Johnson? Nah, coaches have to put him into Andrew Swallow category.

Then he ll have significant increase with Fyfe gone and Brodie traded.

Far out there are some nuffies on this board.

Good teams have depth. A lot of depth. They don’t get rid of cheap depth.

Most smart teams wouldn’t delist 22yo fringe players with 66 games experience. They would expect them to continue to improve and at worst be valuable depth. They certainly wouldn’t delist them if they still had 2 years to run on their contract.

NOD had several CBAs today and was shit.

Our depth is poor and will be worse next year. Frederick, Dudley, NOD, JOM, and a few more shouldnt be best 22, or should at least have people pressuring them to play well. As soon as we get 3 or 4 injuries people are played when they are not ready or not good enough

Our depth with no injuries of note is Wagner, Johnson , Simpson,Walker then Sharp.

Frederick is an outside player, who is afraid of the contest, who fumbles with out elite skills.

Bolton was a liability last night. I would love for all people who argued for him to come to us to defend him last night. He fumbles, is selfish, and can't finish.

Erasmus finally showed us the player he can be. Must keep.

If we go one more year without adding a classy skillful quick small forward, it will be very frustrating.

Switta is elite when fully fit but always injured. We missed him a lot.

- outside run/winger with pace

- small lockdown type defender

- creative half back flanker

Are our areas of most need to me. We have a few players in these positions currently but they are either not quite good enough, or there is little to no depth to cover a key injury.

Small forward must be a big priority

Not sure what the sticking point is, but if we need to give Ras 5 years to retain him we just have to do it. No questions asked.

He is going to be a superstar! He’s Josh Dunkley v2.

If NOD, Frederick, Banfield, Dudley and JOM are still all starting round 1 next year I’ll despair.

I see it with Ras, please keep, he’s got something. Better than Matt Johnson for sure. Give him a good contract and let him be a b22 regular.

We really need 2 or 3 players in to push up the floor, and increase competition for spots in the 22.

McVee, Ah Chee, and 1 or 2 mature age picks is really what we need. Hopefully, as the week goes by we are linked to more players.

I would trade out Michael Frederick if someone offered us a 2nd rounder. I just don't think his style of play holds up in finals.
