A lot were complaining about not being linked to anybody before McVee chose us. I think it’s quiet enjoyable having no best 25 player leave or retirements we haven’t already covered for 2 seasons in a row.

Hardly any teams will escape with this happening and our age profile means we get better.

I assumed he'd always be that impact centre square player who plays forward as he's too valuable as a point of difference in the front third.

I’m a bit late to the table on this but I am all for getting Oliver in with the reported story of Demons happy to pay half his salary.
Fully agree the bloke is a twat off field but at what point do we back our culture in and turn talent into results?
He was a top 5 player in the comp, he doesn’t have injury history like Hogan did, he still has ability and has been playing.

I can recognise I’m bias, I’ve always rated him higher then Petracca and even this season gone I’d have them close to par for there performances, Trac i think is a worse kick.

We have been bullied throughout stoppages and what honestly do we lose even if it blows up? I think the risk is not that bad at worse he just replaces Brodie and at best we gain a stoppage dominant beast who feeds it to our prime movers and gets the ball in our front half.

Only if we need that cash for signing up Serong/Voss is where I’d draw the line but by our reports of going after Warner and Kozzie I’m pretty sure we’ve got the money.

We have the list to take these risks, sitting on our hands is not going to win us a flag

Trade for holes in the list, wing, small forward, rebounding defender.

I like Oliver but do we really need another midfielder; Serong, Brayshaw, Young, cameo’s from Jackson, Bolton, depth from Erasmus, Johnson, Wagner, Sharp, NOD… the midfield is fine.
