Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
If Warner wanted to go WC then he wouldn’t have re-signed. Don Pyke was all over Warner like a rash and he decided to re-sign for two years. I know a board member and WC were pushing hard for Warner earlier this year like really hard. Yet he declined and re-signed.Eagles should just pop pick 2 for Chad Warner.
Reckon that two F1s and a choice of a suitably valued player from Sydney (with later picks coming back) get the Curnow trade done. That's the third playing I've seen Sydney trying to push out to get curnow.

Just assumed he'd be delisted tbh. SSP surelyAdelaide now scrambling for…
Tom Mitchell.
Yea was thinking hopefully the supposed great bloods culture takes a hit here with a few of their bigger name players being tossed around for baitSydney are desperate to get Curnow at the expense if their midfield. Sounds like a great plan.
Can only think Florent didn't get many bites so they've moved onto someone better.Sydney are desperate to get Curnow at the expense if their midfield. Sounds like a great plan.
Why would we draft western Australian players when the draft is basically our only realistic access to the Victorian talent pool? If we started doing that we might aswell forget about ever accessing non WA talent. The WA talent pool has never been weaker to top it all off.
Thankfully the club doesn’t think like this.
Fred Rodriguez can go to any club not called west coast eagles in this draft.
We can draft a talented young Vic kid instead.
Then in 3 years time we can trade back in Fred (if he’s any good) and the net result will be more talent at freo if we can keep whatever vic kid we draft too.
The biggest competitive disadvantage freo have is a lack of access to the same talent that our eastern states rivals have.
I actually think other than academy kids - we should actively avoid drafting western Australians.
What’s the cost of trading Murphy Reid to the club if we had the option and chose Bo Allan?Consider the cost of three Western Australians we traded back to Freo.
McVee, Bolton, Jackson. We only need one pick to get Rodriguez now, not a first and a second by averages.
We are preserving our salary cap for one final big fish. Draft picks will be a bigger issue for us. He's a top 5 pick and Wallsy can't trade for shit. Can't see us getting that type of capital without trading someone out.If Warner wanted to go WC then he wouldn’t have re-signed. We are some chance to get Warner the conclusion of his next contract. Just a feeling.

We’d never know because he wouldn’t even look our way.
Since JL took over:I would counter the argument that losing non WA talent costs us advantage but we've had way too many WA players traded out
Since JL took over:
Traded in
Clark, Jackson, O'Meara, Bolton, McVee
Traded in then traded out
B. Hill, Hogan, Acres
Drafted then traded out
Logue, Henry
Free agent
Hamling
Before McVee we'd actually lost more WA players than we've gained, although talent wise it's been a net positive
Hamling and Acres were actually solid trade ins but injury and low ball contracts sent them east.Just on the trades that were moved on…Hill a massive cancer on the club. Media had in for Hogan before he signed and drove him east. Logue and HenryHamling and Acres were actually solid trade ins but injury and low ball contracts sent them east.
Hill a massive cancer on the club.
Appreciate Hill though. Gave us the best years of his career then ****ed off right in time to give us the guys who’s won 3 bnfs by 24Just on the trades that were moved on…Hill a massive cancer on the club. I saw your mate Logue last night, could be some truth to the rumours.Just on the trades that were moved on…Hill a massive cancer on the club. You know what’s worse than paying a high trade price for elite talent to come to your club?Consider the cost of three Western Australians we traded back to Freo.
