Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Think Dev Robertson is just behind better mids tbh.I'm curious if Hobbs could be developed into something else at a club that has actual...well, development capabilities. Or is he a case of Dev Robertson where he hit his ceiling early and the game has gone past him?
(I'm not curious enough to want it to be our club tho)
If they get mature ages that can protect and scrap Reid, Hewitt, that would go a long way in their development and success.Plodders and has-beens? Yeah that tracks with West Coasts list management
Good call on Eddie Ford, he's shown that he can play but hard to tell with North players..We do not need to bring in reject small mids from other clubs. Phillips, Hobbs, Clohesy ... no thanks.
It's only really Fyfe we are losing from the midfield. Brodie, Aish and Narkle were surplus to requirements. And I would consider McVee to be taking Banfield's spot, and then Banfield becomes a depth mid replacement for Fyfe. I would view Simpson, Walker, Wagner, Chapman, Worner, NOD, JOM, Sharp, Banfield as fighting for 5 spots in midfield/defence rotations and I think that is reasonable cover. At least it is better cover than we have for small/medium forwards.
If we are looking at discards from other clubs to trial in the pre-season, I'd think about Oskar Smartt and/or Eddie Ford. A small and medium forward option. I think Ford has a lot of talent and might get some interest.

Let me mock West Coast in peace pleaseIf they get mature ages that can protect and scrap Reid, Hewitt, that would go a long way in their development and success.
Phillips, Hobbs, Clohesy would step straight into the team. Not a bad thing. Clohesy is a decent player.
Not sure if Hobbs or Phillips get a game for West Coast unless the likes of Kelly, Yeo etc. are not playing tbh.If they get mature ages that can protect and scrap Reid, Hewitt, that would go a long way in their development and success.

I'd go after the bigger bodied, more battle hardened guys if I were West Coast. Robertson is a good start at that if you're looking at delisted players.

he's probably quite good at unoYeo playing![]()
Can't kick so he is useless as a wingerBinns at Carlton is worth a train on. Winger, won the VFL best and fairest in 2023 and only 21.
Can't kick + is short + is a bit squibby in the contest. Don't think he's crazy zippy either but that's lower down on the list. Can't be bad at all of those things on the wing (there's a reason when in doubt we stick someone ~190cm there). Can't kick so he is useless as a winger
People on here didn't like Langdon/Acres and Binns makes them look like Hayden Young
No Carlton, don't bid on Whan at pick 2!That's a wonderful bit of negotiation. Carlton have #9 and #11.
Offering #2, #34 and #41 to Carlton for #9, #11 so they can have four picks inside the top twenty.
Then Carlton bid on all the academy players at #2, then #3, then #4 and burn the place down.
They would have to really want Whan for that to happen. This would not be a Henry situation. No Carlton, don't bid on Whan at pick 2!

9 and 11 shouldn't get 2 by itself, let alone with the picks to satisfy the dean bidThat's a wonderful bit of negotiation. Carlton have #9 and #11.

If WC offered up #2, #41, F2. then it would be for #9, #11 and a F1st(2027).That's a wonderful bit of negotiation. Carlton have #9 and #11.

If I'm West Coast I'm just going to the draft and taking the two most talented young players in the comp. Why **** around with sliding backwards?Pretty sure I heard that Essendon had offered their top two picks for Pick 1. If West Coast were looking for more top picks thatd be the move I reckon.
Would leave them with 2, 5, 6 and 13.
Imagine how much damage they could do with that draft hand.
Not even Matt Clarke could whiff on all of those picks. Although....
In response to people suggesting they should trade pick 2 for 9 and 11.If I'm West Coast I'm just going to the draft and taking the two most talented young players in the comp. Why **** around with sliding backwards?
Could just take 1, 2, and 13 though. In response to people suggesting they should trade pick 2 for 9 and 11.
2, 5, 6, 13 is better than 1, 9, 11, 13.
Entirety of my point (with a little dig thrown in for good measure)
