Rumour on Facebook is Petracca has nominated 5 clubs including us that he would be open to a trade to.

Not sure if I buy the Rumour though as I dont think he'd leave Melbourne but would be great for us if true

This is also on the back of us taking on all their contracts, fully, or mostly.

Also Tex number 13 to clarry, Crouch number 5 to Trac. Looks perfect.

Well yeah obviously that’d be great. But can’t see it. Salary cap could be an issue.

Really? The issue will be whether a suitable trade can be put together or not. Petracca clearly wants out of there.

The matchup was the problem for Keane, more than anything else

That Max is our only genuine non tall defensive player limited our options. He can’t be covering their most dangerous small and Gunner at the same time. None of Smith, Laird or Milera are reliable one on one defenders. Hinge is borderline, but he’s been crap recently.

Not big or smart enough for Gunston, but it would have been nice to have the option. I was very much in favour of keeping Bond in for Friday night.

Unless something drastic happens in trade week, expect Rankine to continue to play more midfield minutes. Would expect Rachele to starting playing some midfield too.

That leaves Pedlar and Taylor as full time small forwards. But I personally don’t think Taylor does enough in that position.

Keep our 1st rounder unless its a <25 year old quality player which suits our needs ie. Rankine and Dawson in '21/22.

Midfielders can be guns by 21, so we only need a couple of preseasons for our midfield to strengthen.

Time is on our side. Top end talent is paramount.

There is a post by Scorpus about our age/list and its full of long term hope but its also shaky if the underneath foundations arent solid

We have a list - we have seen we can match it with the best - lets see what falls out
