I'm retired and this was the worst loss I can remember.
Perhaps I shouldn't but I'm writing this team off for the season. I don't think there's any coming back from this.
I'm gutted with that loss to the Spooners and not accepting any excuses whatsoever.

No way this team will be winning a Premiership in the near future and the Club will just bury their heads in the sand. Nothing will change ... the whole club is rotten ... from the top down... unfortunately.
I'd keep TDK, Cripps, Weiters and Charlie ... that's it.

I always have to remember that the 2 games we lost that year were to St Kilda (14th of 16) and Sydney (12th) - even at our best we could always manage to lose to a crap team

Has talent but seems clueless." - This might be unpopular but I didn't mind Motlop last night - should have kicked 2, was denied by what must be the strongest fingertips in the game, was credited with a goal assist and he was burnt a lot by player kicking it over his head, at his feet or just ignoring him like Cottrell did with his banana attempt as Jesse stood alone 20m dead in front.

Also the Tigers flood in our forward 50 didn't allow a lot of room for a small forward to work

I’m not even angry, I’m just done. We endured a very long and painful rebuild to end up at this point where we end up losing to probably the worst lineup to ever take the field in AFL. Stick a fork in us we’re done.

To the people saying full on rebuild, I can sympathise.

But we are like Manchester United with a whole lot of overpriced stars who no one is likely to want for the price we would willingly accept. And things are likely to get a whole lot tighter if we re-sign our ruckman.

Yep, feeling a lot of emotions, but 8 more sides will lose in the next few days, and then we will start to think about Charlie coming back and by Wednesday we might even dare to dream

I think it’s far worse than those losses. At least in those instances we played against good teams with very good players. Melbourne had greats in their prime like Lyon, Schwarz, Neitz and Stynes. The Geelong loss was more galling because they had Buddha Hocking, Bairstow and Mansfield out but they still had the great Gary Ablett senior.

No offence to Richmond but they had some ageing premiership greats, young rookies and a bunch of journeymen. Hats off to them for the great spirit they showed but we should have won that game by ten goals. The fact we were 7 goals up at one point makes it even worse. It’s hands down the worst lose I have ever seen in my lifetime.

I’ll have a glass of what you’re having; the Hawks speed and skill are going to do some unspeakable things to our boys next week, regardless of Charles.
