budwah would in 2007 surely, if not 2008, so...would be close.
Yeah, I've been recording since 2019 so...

EDIT: Buddy is a January birthday compared to May so whilst Buddy's 2007 he was 20, the months mean that Morris is younger

Last one for the year (forgot to do last night), Goals and Assists for H&A:

1. Jeremy Cameron 97 (83/14)
2. Jack Gunston 79 (62/17)/Aaron Naughton (60/19)
4. Ben King 76 (69/7)/Riley Thilthorpe (55/21)
6. Mitch Georgiades 65 (58/7)/Jamie Elliott (52/13)
8. Rhylee West 62 (39/23)
9. Logan Morris 61 (48/13)
10. Jack Higgins 60 (46/14)

Aaron Naughton is the first player to finish top 3 in this stat to fail to make the squad since I've been recording it. I expect Cameron, Gunston, King, Elliott and Pickett to be the actual forwards in the side.
Goal Assists isn't a great stat because it relies on how accurate other players are when judging a forward.

Mind you score involvements is also junk, because it just means you got a touch in a possession chain that led to a goal.

If you really want to judge this, you'd need to look at everytime they passed off when in scoring range themselves and the result wasn't a goal. Everytime they took a shot themselves and missed... everytime they took a shot themselves, missed and ignored the opportunity to pass to a teammate in a better position.

Not even player ratings go into that level of detail though.

It's usually an accurate guide on who will be picked as the AA key or small forwards. 2020 the main exception and Naughton missing this year are the anomolies over recent years

If It weren't overly onerous to set up and calculate, I'd give points to:

(Arbitrary points)
0 - Inside 50 intercepted
0.5 - Inside 50
0.5 - Inside 50 results in mark, possession

Then stack on the goal assist

so 10 inside 50s intercepted would be worth zero, and rightly so as the impact to the game is worthless. (Seen this with Port in past seasons)

5 points for general inside 50s
10 points for retaining the ball, another 1 for every goal assist.

Jesus Jack Riewoldt is struggling to get his words out
How this bloke makes a living with his mouth is nothing short of extraordinary.

It's one of my great fascinations that anyone in the television industry decided he was worthwhile employing.

Not to mention he's a complete dullard.
